Jodie's Moon-watching BBQ party

I knew my ward was into the outdoors BUT REALLY???!!! Jodie invited people to a Moon-watching grill party at the Hyrum State Park. There were MANY people from my ward who attended. I just thought what the hell am I doing here. I went because Jodie is sweet and I wanted to help with the turnout BUT I didn't need to do that because it was WELL-ATTENDED. It started at 7:30, I got there at 8 and it was just Jodie and Sarah Slater. I thought I was late. NOOO I wasn't. There was no one there I wanted to talk to so I made small talk then sat around a little bit and LEFT at 9:30pm. There were probably about 25 people there when I left. 

Jodie called me after I got home but by the time I got my phone she hung up. I'm sure she wanted to know why I left. Uh BECAUSE I don't have fun at those things. My idea of a BBQ is marinated chicken, and lots of yummy sides with MUSIC blaring from a nice sound system. We DIDN'T have that. Everyone was content to sit around and chat. I DON'T like these outdoor activity things. Take me to a nice restaurant, take me dancing or take me to a musical or ballet. Museums are fine. I may very well be a prissy girly girl AND I am fine with that. 

It doesn't feel like tomorrow is Sunday. It's my friend's last Sunday. I will miss him very much.
