I went to a Solstice party last night at the Fridal twins' house. They invited a huge part of my ward. They don't live too far from me right now anyway. There were way more women than men there. Everyone is nice but like most of my ward functions it takes effort for me to go there and I don't have fun naturally, I have to force myself to do that. I stayed for a little over an hour then left.

I stayed up washing and drying dishes all night. Today I decided to make Jennifer Lugo's chicken enchilada recipe. They were so good. I am stuffed right now however. They are so filling. I put the rest in the freezer. They were so easy. I think I should have stuck with the regular cheddar however. I was thinking I needed more chillies but 1 can was perfect.

I can't wait until I'm all moved in and I can decorate. I need a sectional and a Queen size bed. Anything else I should be able to fit in my car and I will buy piece by piece. I looove decorating although I never wanted a degree in that. I think its a natural innate talent or ability you either have or you don't and I know I have it.

Why the Noah and the Ark scene again? There are plants and animals native to the Americas and it's not like the world is going to be flooded again. I never thought of the barges as  being filled with animals but yes, even honey-bees. 

Scriptural scholars have suggested these were not literal but rather figurative gatherings representing much more. I don't know and I tend to thing these are literal even if I can't conceive of it right now. Even the animals are collected both male and female. 

I think this scene has many more implications I just don't get or why have a similar one in the Book of Mormon? Repetition is something we should pay attention to when we read the scriptures. 

Those enchiladas make me feel like I just ate a cow and NO that's NOT a good feeling.

I fell asleep listening to this talk. I closed my eyes to focus. I really did. When you are tired and laying on your bed after a heavy meal this isn't the best choice. This is the talk for our RS lesson tomorrow so I wanted to review it. Tomorrow the entire church is invited to listen to a new training for mission presidents. I CAN'T WAIT until my husband is a mission president. I will looove that sooo much. If he makes the kind of money I'm pretty sure he will, we can do this as a family pretty quickly. I CAN'T WAIT for this!!! This broadcast is going to be fun for me tomorrow!!!
