After camping in my apartment yesterday I went to the dumpster to take the trash out where I saw SNOW ON THE GROUND!!! ITS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE HERE UNTIL AFTER THANKSGIVING!!!

It didn't snow last night however and although it's cold there isn't any snow on the ground. YES I'm aware that I live in Northern Utah. I realized I missed the CVLA nominating committee meeting Friday. I just spaced it. My house looks fabulous because I cleaned my kitchen and did almost all my laundry yesterday. I still need to clean my spare room. I treat it like a junk drawer only it's a room. NOOOT GOOD.

This morning before Zumba I looked at Facebook. My friend Julie who is in my ward wrote a status about how she read her missionary letters and of how much she appreciated all the missionaries and her own mission. There was nothing unusual about this HOWEVER the second part was incredulous to me. She wrote that although she loved the experience if she had the chance to do it again she wouldn't and that she has nightmares that she is back there. If by some magical way I could return to my mission AND not screw up progressing in other ways I would do it in a heartbeat. My mission was the hardest thing I had ever done in my life at that point. BUT it was also the most rewarding. AND it was so much fun. Someone else from my ward said she felt the same way Julie did. Liz was the relief society president when I first went to the Logan 18th ward. Someone else I don't know made another comment suggesting the same thing. I can't comprehend feeling that in the least.

I don't get that at ALL. They are both faithful women to me. How can you NOT love missionary work. The chance to testify ALL the time, to represent the Savior, to me it was the ultimate buzz. Actually having nightmares that you are back on your mission? I extended my mission a month and then when I found out President John H. Groberg was visiting my mission the week I was supposed to leave I asked again to stay until after he left. I was serving in 2 Tongan wards at the very end and I was able to set up a fireside featuring him as the main speaker. It was THE BEST way to end my mission. When I landed in Hawaii I cried because I knew my time as a full time missionary was over.

My husband HAS TO BECOME A MISSION PRESIDENT. That is the one calling I desire. I hope that's alright with my father in heaven. Helping to inspire missionaries is something I want very much. With the influx of sister missionaries in the field right now I want that opportunity. I would be perfectly fine rearing my family in a foreign country if I had to do that. I'm hoping and I already know I will be extremely successful at real estate. That will allow me to put money away for that. I'd have no problem doing that for the rest of my life BUT I know I can't be selfish and that I need to progress in ALL areas. I am grateful for the chance I've had to work in the temple. It is different than missionary work but gives me a similar buzz. I am so blessed. Julie and Liz acknowledged their gratitude for the experience. It was something I loved however and it is really difficult for me to relate to what they wrote.

That's the only thing I don't know about David. He is strong in everything I can perceive that matters.ALTHOUGH... If he feels like Julie, if he didn't love his mission, if he can't testify at the drop of a hat right now I'm not going to like that A LOT!!! He did bear his testimony a number of times when he was in my ward. In my heart that's a TOTAL deal breaker BUT I also know what I've been told too. I hope and pray my father in heaven doesn't want me to be with ANYONE who doesn't love missionary work. It already freaks me out a little that he didn't serve until he was 25. BUT President Hunter didn't go period sooo that isn't something I should use in any reasoning against him.

There are a lot of amazing coupon deals out there right now.

2 Nephi 23

22 And the wild beasts of the islands shall cry in their desolate houses, and dragons in their pleasant palaces; and her time is near to come, and her day shall not be prolonged. For I will destroy her speedily; yea, for I will be merciful unto my people, but the wicked shall perish.

I know what I think of when I hear dragons. What exactly was Isaiah referring to?

Be Meek and Lowly of Heart - Ulisses Soares
“It is our duty to try to be perfect, … to improve each day, and look upon our course last week and do things better this week; do things better today than we did them yesterday.”11 So the first step to becoming meek is to improve day by day.
President Henry B. Eyring once said, “When we with faith control our tempers and subdue our pride, the Holy Ghost gives His approval, and sacred promises and covenants become sure.”14

Prophet Joseph Smith, saying, “Be thou humble; and the Lord thy God shall lead thee by the hand, and give thee answer to thy prayers.”15
It is possible to reject the evil influences in our lives, control our anger, become meek, and develop the attributes of our Savior.

I want the Lord to lead me by the hand and give me answers to my prayers.

I ate the rest of my fettuccine chicken without tummy incident so I could probably attend stake conference but I didn't want a repeat of last night. That was so weird. So I'll just do laundry and camp out in my apartment. I finished organizing and clipping all my coupons last night after 3am and I didn't care about the time because I didn't plan on attending stake conference today.

I finished most of my dishes except for my pans. I just need to take my trash out and continue washing my clothes. I also need to cook stuff to eat tomorrow. Time to put another load in the washer.

Walgreens

I went coupon shopping at Walgreens where I bought 2 6-pack toilet paper packs for 2.50 or 1.25 each.  People on my couponing site are buying out entire stores. I just don't have money to do that. I also bought some 2 Dawn dish washing liquids, 1 for .74 and the other I got at the last minute and didn't use my coupon on it although I could've. I paid .99 for it. I also got 2 Lindt chocolate bars for free. I need to print a couple more coupons. That is the good stuff. My cupboard is filled with crappy mass produced American candy and also my high-quality delicious Lindt bars. I think those are actually American too. The printable coupons reset so I'm printing a couple more at work next week. I tried to get 6 mascara tubes for free but the cashier wouldn't let me saying the coupon value is too high for the price. I asked him why he couldn't just adjust it and he gave me some lame reason. I'm going back there on Wednesday to ask him again AND to get a killer makeup deal. I'm going to open this toilet paper and see if I can deal with the quality. If I can I will take whatever is left on the shelf when I get paid Tuesday.

I am sad when I miss out on couponing deals but there is always another one around the corner. I have to resolve this makeup thing because I feel cheated. I looked up Walgreen's coupon policy and there is the option to use them with BOGOs. I don't think very many people shop at Walgreens here although it has MANY incredible deals. Smiths does too. Harmon's has an Oreo deal now which ticks me off because there is no Harmon's here. I REALLY hope someone has one soon so I can get a bunch of Oreos for under a dollar each OR if a nice deal comes up I want to be in SLC with the many stores ALTHOUGH it is nice to take advantage of the many deals without too much competition here.

I rushed to Stake Conference and got there right on time to hear the talks. The talks were awesome. The sisters spoke along with a ward mission leader and a bishop who was converted at 17 but later went on to serve a mission and is now obviously extremely active. I loooved his talk. My stomach felt queasy during his talk however and as soon as he finished I went to the bathroom. I felt better but I also felt like I'd probably have to run to the bathroom again so I left during president Pffiefer's talk. That's the first time that's ever happened to me. I just wanted to leave because running to a public bathroom is NOOOT the business. I'm glad I went home because sure enough as soon as I got home I ran to the bathroom.

I had a tuna helper I made with 2 cans of chicken instead. That's the only thing I can think of that I ate right before the meeting. I'm scared to go tomorrow. I'm just glad I didn't feel like this in the temple this morning.

Temple

I was supposed to be at the temple an hour earlier today along with my trainer. We BOTH didn't pay attention to the schedule. I remember sister Keisker telling me I wouldn't be on the early schedule since I was still in training. Sis. Smoot said that's why she didn't bother looking either BUT we are scheduled to be early again next week so I need to prepare for that.

I did a session, 2 veils and initiatories. I am better but I still don't have my initiatories down and that ticks me off. I plan to go to initiatories EVERY day if I can and master this thing next week. The anointing is the only thing I don't have down cold BUT I want everything to be flawless now. It's more than time enough. I thought David looked young. Today my first veil worker looked 12. He seriously could pass for JR High school although I'm sure he's at least 21 since you have to be 18 to be ordained and I think he's an RM although who knows really. He is just extremely young looking and I think I'm taller than him too which makes him look even younger.

I have these yellow stains on my temple dress that I couldn't see but when I took it to laundry at the suggestion of my trainer the bright lights showed EVERYTHING. I think I'm going to have to buy a new temple dress. She tried using this commercial grade stuff called Mills that made them lighter but didn't take it out completely. I have another temple dress that doesn't fit me along with 2 temple suits, one linen and this lacy stretchy material. The linen skirt still fits me but the lacy one fits alright on the top but the skirt falls off of me. Dressed in white had a sale and I ended up going a little crazy. I was in the midst of doing a 40-day temple thing so I was sick of wearing the same thing EVERY day even if it was just for a session. I bought 2 pairs of little girls white shoes that fit me. I lived 3 blocks from temple square then.

Although prophets often tell us we should, I was NOT a morning person and I just went to library school, worked at the Christmas Box House 20 hours graves Friday and Saturday then got up when I wanted during the week after which I would study or go to the temple during the day. Wow, I did that over a year. That sounds so lazy and idle right now. I did a lot of things however.

There's a sale at Walgreens and I need to look at couches at Ashley furniture. I also want to check out Kmart, Shopko, Ross and TJMaxx. Shopko has the couch I want or it did anyway. Should I cut out my coupons first? Decisions, decisions. Tonight is Stake Conference. I still want a nap. I ate a couple bowls of cereal. Going to try this double dip deal at Walgreens now. I'll come home after for a nap, to read my BofM and listen to conference.

Laaazy day

I'm not sure if it was catching up on my sleep or whaaat because I woke up after 11 and I didn't really stay up that late. Anyway I didn't do anything but eat and watch Korean drama. I didn't feel like getting ready for Lark's party so I didn't go. Now I'm cleaning and trying to get mentally ready for the temple tomorrow. I'm excited for stake conference tonight. I was annoyed when I heard Sunday would be held in the Spectrum but they announced it would be broadcast at the stake center or our chapel.

I'm going to do some laundry and cleaning. My house is messy. Being gone in Salt Lake and work just resulted in me leaving my dirty clothes wherever I changed. Tuesday is payday AND bills are due. I'd like to get my couch Tuesday BUT if I wait until the first part of December it'll probably be better BUT then I'll need to pay for my real estate test. If it's not one thing it's another. Paying rent on the 20th sucks bigtime because it doesn't really leave me that much just to take care of necessities. I did it this last time but I haaated it!!! Couponing helps a lot.

I need fresh vegetables, fruit and meat but I have spam, canned tuna and chicken I can use now too. I'm certainly not starving. There are always shampoo and conditioner coupon sales but not for anything I like, just grocery or drug store stuff and actually salon products are being sold at grocery stores now but there are never coupons for the stuff I like. I have a bunch of cereal I like plus yogurt and 4 2-liters of Diet Dr. Pepper. I'm trying to lay off the soda which I just haven't touched after I drank 2 bottles. It's just like drinking chemicals. All the candy in my cupboard isn't helping either. I have lots of paper towels, dishwashing liquid and laundry soap. I'm sure I also have enough toothpaste and pads to last me a year.

This is awesome because I haven't been couponing long at all and it already has allowed me to build a small storage of items I use regularly. It has made me a better shopper by far. I don't buy junk from fast food places because the thought that I can just go home and eat something that tastes better and is waaay cheaper is ever-present. Also spending money when I work so hard to save a dollar here and there is not cool. I want to continue to build my stockpile of stuff I use like laundry soap, dishwashing liquid, bathwash, deodorant and food staples like pasta and rice.

Eventually I'd like to buy a freezer and do the freezer meal thing. Having nutritious and tasty meals all the time would be ideal. As I sit here thinking about when to buy my couch I just may get it Tuesday. In January my car registration is due. There will always be something. I'm going to give myself a spending limit of $350 for my couch. Without a couch my living room feels a little useless.

2 Nephi 21
2 And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit ofwisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord;

To My Grandchildren - Henry B. Eyring
While serving others, we are most likely to plead for the companionship of the Holy Ghost. Success in the Lord’s service always produces miracles beyond our own powers.
It is only with the companionship of the Holy Ghost that we can hope to be equally yoked in a marriage free from discord. I have seen how that companionship is crucial for felicity in a marriage. The miracle of becoming one requires the help of heaven, and it takes time. Our goal is to live together forever in the presence of Heavenly Father and our Savior.
They had received the miracle of becoming one.

I have several friends that are gay AND RMs that are getting pretty vocal on Facebook and are having a tough time right now in Hawaii since it is an issue. These are all people who were raised in the same LDS community in Hawaii with me and have family and friends testifying mostly against same-sex marriage. My classmate is one of them. He is visiting his parents now in Hawaii because his dad is very sick. He posted how his mom wanted him to go with her to Honolulu to hold protest signs. He told her he'd drop her off. My community is divided right now in Hawaii and there are a lot of people hurting. This is such a sensitive issue. I love them but I can't condone their choices although I don't want to hurt them.

Friday

I had a lot of fun at Kayleen's party at Kendra's house and I didn't have to force myself. This one guy in my ward made the best butternut squash bacon soup. There was also this yummy spinach/bacon soup. The bacon was great. I ALWAYS buy my bacon from the deli. My mother didn't ALTHOUGH now I wonder why ANYONE doesn't, It tastes better and is cheaper. The bacon he added tasted like bacon from the deli. There was a good attendance too.

What I spent the bulk of my time doing however was playing with the wii. They had the Michael Jackson experience which is just like dance revolution only MJ songs. I NEED THAT IN MY LIFE NOW. Later we played dance revolution the ENTIRE REST OF THE NIGHT. I have completely found an addiction. It's why I love zumba. You don't feel like you are working because you are just dancing AND it's fun.

I need to get an Xbox360 so I can play the games without playing a stupid remote. This new girl Giselle was there. She asked me if gave the lesson last week and she said she loves me and I'm adorable. Sweet girl! I think the girl that Mark's dating??? did the same thing to me during linger longer.  I woke up at 11:15 and I'm been sloooowly rising. I cooked left over rice with spam, eggs, soy sauce and brown sugar. I have local girl taste. I also baked the rest of my cookie batter and ate about 6 cookies already.

Now I'm watching this Korean drama. There's another party at Lark's house tonight. I just need to leave early to work at the temple. I can't believe it's almost 4pm now. I need to call the gas company.
