Urban Poly Princess

I had to take a drug test for the part time Sutter Health job I start on May 4th. SERIOUSLY???!!! I felt like a criminal just going there. I had to first wash my hands then some guy hands me a sample cup for me to pee in. He asks me first if I have a bunch of things in my pockets then hands me a cup I have to fill up to a certain line. Luckily there was a water bottle with cups in the lobby where I made sure to drink 2 cups of while I sat there waiting my turn.

It just felt demoralizing. It is sad that for a 20-hour-job that helps patients set and cancel appointments I had to take any sort of drug test at all BUT YEA for not finding a damn decent job yet. Sutter Health actually sounds like a lot of fun and an ok place to be AND my schedule doesn't include Fridays which I want to find a way to maintain.

I loved my job in Logan -an assistant, EVERY Friday off AND doing what the hell I want when the hell I want to do it. I don't want to work at a school library again however. I want to secure in job at a public library.

Why is this so difficult? There is no way in hell I would even date someone with this crappy job although that's what I'm about to do.
