My Random Blogging Therapy
They just emailed me with the SAME number to call them. They are supposed to call me back to arrange an in-person interview. Wow!!! I passed the telephone interview. Dealing with Delta Airlines feels like I applied for the CIA AND they only pay 12.50 an hour. It is a job you take ONLY for flight benefits because the money sure isn't going to do anything except prevent me from collecting unemployment. I won't have any bills except my car insurance however so that is actually good. Yeah I'll need money to get my nails done because I'm sure my mother won't supply me with that ALTHOUGH I think it's necessary to look professional while working in real estate.
I have to save as much money as I can with my last couple of checks so I can pay everything I need to for my real estate stuff.
What I like about the Keller Williams guy is he talked about me forming my own team eventually while Derek my zonie recommended I start on one. Rod - the Keller Williams guy seems to be able to teach me more more effectively. I would still love the Legislature job that doesn't start interviewing until the end of the month. I would love, love, looove that!!!
Packing, moving, finding another job -- ALL of that is stressing me out a little. I may have to drive to Salt Lake City again for their in-person interview and then I BETTER get that legislature interview!!! They emailed me to tell me when these would be held and that I should call them with any questions. I can't wait to move. I'm so excited!!! I can't believe I got an in-person interview for Delta Airlines. I can't believe the hoops I had to jump through. It seems to me it should pay more to make it worth it for me. FINALLY AFTER this will they actually offer me employment???!!! I bet that will happen and then I'll get my legislature job and have to quit.
I messaged Curtis on Facebook to see if he wants my stuff AND to see if he'll help me transport the things I plan to keep to Salt Lake. He hasn't responded yet. I hope he does soon so I can look for alternatives if he's not going to take the stuff I don't want to take AND help me take the things I plan to keep. If I do have to drive to Salt Lake I plan to take as much as I possibly can to Salt Lake with me. I should be able to take quite a bit. The only thing that won't fit in my car that I want to take with me is my desk. I had to get Rich to help me bring it home. It is super-light but it has slanted legs that won't fit in my car. I bought it from one of our students who moved to DC with her husband when he graduated from USU. I love that desk BUT it is the only thing I can't fit in my car. Everything else I could take to Salt Lake in 2 trips. I even tried to unscrew the legs but in order to make it fit I'd have to break it. If my interview is scheduled within the next couple of weeks I'm going to be sure to take my makeup desk and huge mirror along with any chairs I can fit in there. I want my desk but I may not be able to keep it.
I have a white wicker set of drawers, night-stand and hamper. I also have a wheeled cart, side table and a brass/glass table I got A LOOONG time ago from DI. It is dated since it's brass/glass and he may not want it but again Curtis is welcome to it. I also have a decorative wooden side table and folding wooden shelf he can take. I hope he doesn't feel uncomfortable. I don't have any strings attached AND it would help me whether he takes me to Salt Lake or not.
Mark is another option. He helped me move and is sweet and kind too. I could probably convince him to help me take my stuff to Salt Lake. What I don't like about Mark is the way he keeps his house which makes my brother's house look clean. I don't really want to give him my cool shower curtains because I don't think they'd look nice for very long with him. They are both material curtains with liners and fancy rings. It completely makes the bathroom look good. That and well chosen accompanying pictures and some sort of matching silk plant. I bought my mother a fancy shower curtain and rings and then I had that for my bathroom at her house too. My queen-sized bed is not going to fit my bedding here. He can just wash everything and it should be fine.
My couch is veeery ugly although it is in good condition. I was Esther Taylor's visiting teacher and I wanted to buy a couch from her. She works at Aaron sales and leasing, a rent-to-own company. Their quality is crappy. I tried veeery hard to like what looked fabulous online but was significantly less in-person. I even tried another black leather couch but I just didn't like how it looked. The style was dated so I told them to take it back. I found a couch I liked at Ashley furniture for a little over 300 but I decided to get it the following month and look in DI which is where I found my ugly but in-good-condition flowered couch for $30. Despite being ugly it did go with my green-legged stools and velvet maroon chairs.
My apartment had a lot of maroon but that came about by accident. Even the shoe-boxes I purchased have rose covers. My shower curtain in my master bedroom is some faux-velvety maroon thing. I bought brass hooks that work like shower curtain rings. I have 2 comforters that all go with the maroon bed-skirt.
One is maroon jacquard and it is worn. It can still be used while the other set is in the wash. 2 pillowcases accompany it and I usually use a third pillow in the same color as the sheets.
I feel good giving stuff to Curtis because I know he takes care of things. I like the utensils I bought when I moved to Logan 4 years ago. I just won't need another set until I move from my mother's house. When that happens I can get new sets. My wok and a couple baking pans are all the pans I'm taking. I will take my rolling pin with me although now that I think about it I have 1 at my mother's house too that I purchased. So nooo he'll get that too if he wants it.
