2 Yea, and we may see at the very time when he doth prosper his people, yea, in the increase of their fields, their flocks and their herds, and in gold, and in silver, and in all manner of preciousthings of every kind and art; sparing their lives, and delivering them out of the hands of their enemies; softening the hearts of their enemies that they should not declare wars against them; yea, and in fine, doing all things for the welfare and happiness of his people; yea, then is the time that they do harden their hearts, and do forget the Lord their God, and do trample under their feet the Holy One—yea, and this because of their ease, and their exceedingly great prosperity.

 3 And thus we see that except the Lord doth chasten his people with many afflictions, yea, except he doth visit them with deathand with terror, and with famine and with all manner of pestilence, they will not remember him.

 4 O how foolish, and how vain, and how evil, and devilish, and howquick to do iniquity, and how slow to do good, are the children of men; yea, how quick to hearken unto the words of the evil one, and to set their hearts upon the vain things of the world!

 5 Yea, how quick to be lifted up in pride; yea, how quick to boast, and do all manner of that which is iniquity; and how slow are they to remember the Lord their God, and to give ear unto his counsels, yea, how slow to walk in wisdom’s paths!

 6 Behold, they do not desire that the Lord their God, who hathcreated them, should rule and reign over them; notwithstanding his great goodness and his mercy towards them, they do set atnaught his counsels, and they will not that he should be their guide.

 7 O how great is the nothingness of the children of men; yea, even they are less than the dust of the earth.

The pride cycle of the Book of Mormon in detail. Unfortunately there is much truth in that. When things are challenging it is easy to plead with our Father in Heaven in sincerity and intensity. We need to make a concerted effort to thank him often always for the blessings we always enjoy too. 

I am so grateful Taylor found a job yesterday AND began working yesterday at Gossner's cheese factory. It will help them find a place to live easier. I talked to Lakeesha about visiting with the missionaries. She is open to it. I am taking them to my singles ward Sunday. If they find a place to live today it will be fabulous. Kira's doctor's appointment is Friday. That will be perfect especially since I work at the temple Saturday early in the morning.

It'll be easier for them to find a place now since Taylor is working. 

They've been easy house guests although I feel like I need to feed them and clean everything immediately. My spare bedroom is such a mess. I hope to attack it today and pack stuff there. I'll pack my decorative stuff last. If they get their place today I can start to give them my bedroom furniture and some of my decorative tables. 

I read my old post from Sunday when I was irritated with Curtis and he told me he didn't message me. He diffused and called me on my sarcasm when I told him to message me if he knew how to do that. He told me to come on when I responded that way. He didn't have to say U are being a sarcastic B right now ALTHOUGH the effect was the same WITHOUT him being mean or stooping to my level - AND THAT'S why I couldn't stay angry with him.
