2 Yea, and we may see at the very time when he doth prosper his people, yea, in the increase of their fields, their flocks and their herds, and in gold, and in silver, and in all manner of precious things of every kind and art; sparing their lives, and delivering them out of the hands of their enemies; softening the hearts of their enemies that they should not declare wars against them; yea, and in fine, doing all things for the welfare and happiness of his people; yea, then is the time that they do harden their hearts, and do forget the Lord their God, and do trample under their feet the Holy One—yea, and this because of their ease, and their exceedingly great prosperity.
7 O how great is the nothingness of the children of men; yea, even they are less than the dust of the earth.
8 For behold, the dust of the earth moveth hither and thither, to the dividing asunder, at the command of our great and everlasting God.
I need to get ready for Krista's sealing. Yesterday I went to a CVLA meeting in Newton. Newton is only 5 miles from Smithfield but the isolation was freaking me out. You need to make sure your cars are running well if you live like that. I would die. I could never live in that type of town. Logan is bad enough. When Logan looks like a big city in comparison, it is a sad thing to me. Stevens-Henager College is sponsoring the Fourth of July celebration this year at USU which means we get tickets!!!. FINALLY!!! I want a date there but I need to find someone I even want to spend time with. I think Curtis isn't going to show up again.
I need to go back to Salt Lake tomorrow for our Mateaki BBQ.
West Jordan was looking nice to me when I spent all that time there for our forum. What the hell is wrong with me. This is what living in Logan has done to me. I have 3 first cousins who live in West Jordan with their families. I like South Jordan, Draper, Cottonwood Heights, parts of Sandy, the Avenues and Federal Heights. I think I like Federal Heights and the Avenues best because they are nice areas near downtown.
I like my mom's location only because of its proximity to downtown but when I walked to her house from Firestone 2 people started to give me their crap stories leading to asking me for money. Actually the one girl wanted to use my phone. O hell NOOO!!! I used to live right down town in the Belvedere. I am well aware of the many transients who ask for money/favors and I've been taken advantage of many of them because of being naive and stupid.
NOT anymore. I can't hurt a fly but being obviously Polynesian makes a lot of people scared of me. I am more than happy to perpetuate that stereotype so people leave me alone. Suburbia is safer to raise children. I don't know if I want my kids naive however. Suburbia like Draper and South Jordan have many conveniences AND are still only 30 minutes to downtown. I'm not sure which one I like better. I love the neighborhood near the Draper temple and then I also love Daybreak in South Jordan.
I definitely want to either manage a county library or be in administration in West Jordan. South Jordan runs into West Jordan so that might be wiser in the future plus my relatives are all over that area. Of course that's a bad thing too. I lived in Draper before in the farmland area. I think families are safer in Suburbia. My husband's going to work at the church office building so the Avenues and Federal Heights are safe AND close alternatives. I know the avenues has some gated communities. I also like having the U's university community close.
