My Random Blogging Therapy
Friday is a whirl. After work Thursday I went to our CVLA meeting. I am so pleased with it and with all the officers who make it the organization it is. It was held at the Hyrum library and we were given a tour of it and their small museum housed downstairs. They were all impressive. The museum is AWESOME!!! I learned why Cache Valley is called cache valley. Apparently trappers/hunters spent a lot of time in the valley. Enough that they'd bury "caches" EXACTLY what you'd think it would be, a stash of things they might want out there in the then largely unsettled valley ALTHOUGH it's still pretty unsettled. These caches are still uncovered from where they were left.
The Hyrum library is a beautifully renovated building. It has a stuffed bear on display that is HUGE. I would NOT want to meet that in the woods anywhere. I have absolutely NO desire to spend any time in the woods anyway so it's not something I'm ever going to have to worry about. I was pleasantly surprised by this museum. The anthropology museum at USU was awful in comparison. This would've made a MUCH BETTER FHE activity. It's been fabulous missing FHE for my Real Estate class.
I'm sure it's bad that I feel that way BUUUT it is how I feel.
Yesterday I miscalculated by $20. That was VEEERY annoying. I can REALLY use my gas reimbursement check. It should be here next week. Right now I'm hoping sooner than later. I would not have spent what I did if I realized I did that. The importance of having a savings hit home AGAIN!!!
I went to TJ Maxx trying to find something to wear to the temple since my temple dress had to retire. After finding NOTHING I ironed my linen temple skirt and white linen shirt. The top that goes with it is too small to fit my fat arms anymore. The skirt however is extremely big. It's like my green suit. I don't zip the skirt down to put it on I just slide it over my hips. My white linen shirt sleeves aren't long enough so I wore this sheer polyester long sleeve shirt I found on clearance at Walmart for $8 inside. Someone actually told me they liked my "dress" I looove linen BUUUT I hate ironing. What I love about my temple dress is it's this Polyester/rayon stretchy blend that looks great even after being tossed in a bag. I guess the magic wasn't going to last forever.

30 For behold, thus saith the Lord God: I will give unto the children of men line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little and there a little; and blessed are those who hearken unto my precepts, and lend an ear unto my counsel, for they shall learnwisdom; for unto him that receiveth I will give more; and from them that shall say, We have enough, from them shall be taken away even that which they have.

You quorum presidents likely have acted on those assurances more than once. You asked others of the Lord’s priesthood to help, with confidence that they would respond with compassion. You were not afraid to ask those who have responded most often in the past because you knew that they feel compassion easily. You asked them, knowing that in the past they have felt the Lord’s generosity when they chose to help. You asked some already heavily burdened, knowing that the greater the sacrifice, the greater the compensation they will receive from the Lord. Those who have helped in the past have felt the overflowing gratitude of the Savior.
“Neither take ye thought beforehand what ye shall say; but treasure up in your minds continually the words of life, and it shall be given you in the very hour that portion that shall be meted unto every man.”
The treasuring part of that scripture has meant for me a matter of feeling something about the words.
