Facebook status

I think Pres. Uchtdorf spoke at my old stake in Laie. I copied this from someone's status. I really like it. We can always be kind to other people. I've never thought of saving a relationship when children throw tantrums. I get it however. Children are too young to realize many things we need to let go and give them a break.

Here's her message - From Renee Ahuna

ITʻS MONDAY! FHE MESSAGE: From the book "Glimpses", Marjorie Pay Hinckley gave this advice on what to do about a childʻs tantrum fits--"JUST SAVE THE RELATIONSHIP!”

Throughout our lives we are faced with many "tantrum fits" thrown at us by family members, close friends, co-workers, and acquaintances. Sister Hinckleyʻs advice still applies--JUST SAVE THE RELATIONSHIP!

Thank you President Uchtdorf for teaching us how to be "Saviors of Relationships"...

HERE IT IS!
1. First, DO NO HARM! Belittling or mocking has NO PLACE in our society. Seek to heal your heart and love one another. Be the first to apologize.

2. FIND CONTENTMENT with what you ALREADY have. Do not abandon what can be saved. To see the rainbow, we have to accept the rain. LOVE AND GRATITUDE EXPANDS OUR VISION. Choose to laugh and to sing, even when the skies are cloudy.

3. SEEK NOT YOUR OWN. Great love seeks the well-being and happiness of OTHERS. Stop looking at WIIFM. (Whats In It For Me)
If we wish to FEEL love, we must LOVE OTHERS.

4. FULLY IMMERSE yourselves in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Let go of your fears and jump in COMPLETELY; immerse yourselves FULL-TIME into the teachings of Jesus Christ instead of just PART-TIME.

Tonight I asked my friend Adam if he'd help me study when I take a week off the first part of December. He agreed. He has a lot of industry experience and I know he can help me a lot. I added him on Facebook and he told me not to get offended by his pictures because he has a husband. I hope my political views don't offend him either. He is intelligent, experienced and kind. I am his friend but I'll enjoy getting to know him better too and I am happy he agreed to help me. Out of all my classmates he is the only one that can help me.
