8 Thus we see how quick the children of men do forget the Lord their God, yea, how quick to do iniquity, and to be led away by the evil one.
9 Yea, and we also see the great wickedness one very wicked man can cause to take place among the children of men.
35 And it came to pass that whomsoever of the Amalickiahites that would not enter into a covenant to support the cause of freedom, that they might maintain a free government, he caused to be put to death; and there were but few who denied the covenant of freedom.
41 But there were many who died with old age; and those who died in the faith of Christ are happy in him, as we must needs suppose.

36 ...nevertheless, it is strange to relate, not long after their dissensions they became more hardened and impenitent, and more wild, wicked and ferocious than the Lamanites—drinking in with the traditions of the Lamanites; giving way to indolence, and all manner of lasciviousness; yea, entirely forgetting the Lord their God.

1...he did appoint men to speak unto the Lamanites from their towers, against the Nephites.

7 Now it came to pass that while Amalickiah had thus been obtaining power by fraud and deceit, Moroni, on the other hand, had been preparing the minds of the people to be faithful unto the Lord their God.
11 And Moroni was a strong and a mighty man; he was a man of a perfect understanding; yea, a man that did not delight in bloodshed; a man whose soul did joy in the liberty and the freedom of his country, and his brethren from bondage and slavery;
12 Yea, a man whose heart did swell with thanksgiving to his God, for the many privileges and blessings which he bestowed upon his people; a man who did labor exceedingly for the welfare and safety of his people.
13 Yea, and he was a man who was firm in the faith of Christ, and he had sworn with an oath to defend his people, his rights, and his country, and his religion, even to the loss of his blood.
17 Yea, verily, verily I say unto you, if all men had been, and were, and ever would be, like unto Moroni, behold, the very powers of hell would have been shaken forever; yea, the devil would never have power over the hearts of the children of men.
24 Nevertheless, they could not suffer to lay down their lives, that their wives and their children should be massacred by the barbarous cruelty of those who were once their brethren, yea, and had dissented from their church, and had left them and had gone to destroy them by joining the Lamanites.
25 Yea, they could not bear that their brethren should rejoice over the blood of the Nephites, so long as there were any who should keep the commandments of God, for the promise of the Lord was, if they should keep his commandments they should prosper in the land.
What girl doesn't want Moroni? I know I do OR at least someone else who like Ammon, the other sons of Mosiah and the sons of Alma. Helaman and his brethren too are specifically mentioned as just as righteous and no less serviceable.
Finding Lasting Peace and Building Eternal Families - L. Tom Perry
“Women who make a house a home make a far greater contribution tosociety than those who command large armies or stand at the head ofimpressive corporations.
The older of the two sons firmly planted his feet and asked, “Which is themost important, prayers or fruit?”
It is the gospel of Jesus Christ that provides this foundation upon whichwe can find lasting peace and build eternal family units.
Busy church week. I met my visiting teacher Jackie yesterday. She is a school teacher who has been unemployed since May. She has been collecting unemployment too and substitute teaching. I didn't think you could do both. While I buoyed her up it discouraged me. I can't believe there have been NO library positions with Salt Lake County. I loved working there. For some reason whoever is in charge of the subs now doesn't want to hire me there again which is fine since I'd rather have a permanent position there.
I hope I AT LEAST get an interview this time with Park City but really who knows if I will or not.
I definitely DON'T want to be unemployed 6 months or more. My unemployment is good until next September but I definitely don't want to wait that long.
FHE tonight is indexing. I'm not too fond of that. We have a ward Thanksgiving dinner Saturday and then Sunday we have the Menace Thanksgiving dinner. I'm glad there are so many activities all over the place. Tomorrow I'll be done with my reading for Angela's Wednesday class. There is also a Stake regional teaching training either Wednesday or Thursday. The menace institute class is Thursday at 8pm.
