I love my zumba class. It starts my day on a high positive note. Last night we had a pumpkin potluck I found a pumpkin curry recipe. It is delicious. It made sooo much. It is a vegetarian dish but it is still very tasty. In addition to a can of pumpkin it used 2 cans of garbanzo beans, 6 cups of chicken broth, onions, garlic ginger, cinnamon, tumeric, cumin, chili pepper, a carrot, 2 stalks of celery, a chopped potato, heavy whipping cream and I garnished with cashews. I think I can throw some raisins in there too. Oh yeah, a whole head of cauliflower and lime juice. I didn't buy cardamon or masala garum which I'm pretty sure is an Indian spice. Indian food really isn't that hard to make, at least my version of it. I should try making chicken tikka masala too. I'm glad Mele taught me how to use cumin. It went quickly and I kept getting compliments.
Mosiah 3
25 And if they be evil they are consigned to an awful view of their own guilt and abominations, which doth cause them to shrink from the presence of the Lord into a state of misery and endlesstorment, from whence they can no more return; therefore they have drunk damnation to their own souls.
The Lord has a Plan for Us - Carlos A. Godoy
“if you continue to live as you are living, will the blessings promised in your patriarchal blessing be fulfilled?”
It was not a decision between what was right and wrong but between what was good and what was better, as Elder Dallin H. Oaks taught us when he said: “As we consider various choices, we should remember that it is not enough that something is good. Other choices are better, and still others are best” (“Good, Better, Best,” Ensign or Liahona, Nov. 2007, 104–5).
We can find examples in the scriptures in which having a broader vision gave clarity regarding which path to take.
We are children of Almighty God. He is our Father, He loves us, and He has a plan for us. We are not here in this life just to waste our time, grow old, and die. God wants us to grow and achieve our potential.
I know that the Lord has a plan for us in this life. He knows us. He knows what is best for us. Just because things are going well does not mean that we should not from time to time consider whether there might be something better. If we continue to live as we are living, will the promised blessings be fulfilled?
I have an orthodontist appointment in Logan today. I hate driving that far but it is the last one for now anyway. I will get my last set of trays then it's 2 more weeks and I'm done!!! Now I want a good whitening treatment. The Park City position is open again. I have to apply for it. While I want to work for the state more if I don't try I can't feel good about myself. I am still unemployed.
I didn't even bother trying to take Curtis to lunch since he obviously doesn't want to go. He is beautiful and I wish I could get to know him better although now there's really no point. He is so busy and I am definitely NOOOT moving back to Cache Valley. He just looks super fine in the last picture he posted.
I am meeting nice professionals here. I'm sure one will stick out to me soon enough. In the meantime I'll just keep getting to know people. Hmmm... Maybe I should go early and do a session at the Brigham City temple. I've never been there. There's nothing I want to eat in Cache Valley. The restaurants suck, the shopping sucks sooo all I'm going to do it go to my appointment and leave. Aggie ice-cream is good but really that's all.
Taco Tuesdays at the Elements sucks. Cafe Rio is here why would I go to it there? I guess I'll check out the new store that is in the Dillards spot today at Cache Valley Mall.
