My Random Blogging Therapy
Yesterday I met with a manager at Sears for the Visual Associate position. She told me the position doesn't exist and they actually need someone to sell shoes. I asked how much it paid and she said 7.25. I think my first job at PCC paid more and when I worked as a sales associate for Sears in Hawaii I was paid 8 something. There is no way in hell I'm working for a little over 7 dollars an hour.
Today I went to our Intellectual Freedom Committee meeting. Wanda and I were the only ones there on time but then Denae phoned in from work and Steve Irving our Vice President and Marinda, an Emporia student who works for the county joined us. The last person to join us was Executive Director John Spears.
It is great to have him on our committee. He can add so much because of his position that gives him so many resources. I was really excited to see him there. I told him I applied for the senior coordinator position but that I haven't heard anything. He said they are still reviewing applications. I found him on LinkedIn but although I added him he looked at my profile but didn't accept my invitation. I found him on Facebook but I didn't add him although I did discover he is gay and I don't really want to work with someone gay because I always sympathize with their cause. It is why I didn't approach the City Collective.
I love design, clothes and fashion. Gay men usually have the best taste. I think I could be professional AND work with John. As long as my father in heaven is good with it, I am too.
