Shem's Birthday Party

Since Shem was an English major and teaches English at a Middle School I knew exactly the type of thing he'd appreciate. I found Shakespeare gum wrapped in tiny books with the titles of his plays. They each alsho included a Shakespeare insult. I also gave him a pad of ninja essays you get other people to complete by filling in an adjective, noun, place, number to form often hilarious essays at the end of the fill-in-the-blank segment.

It was nice to interact with people I don't know at all. Shem is super-talented musically. He plays the guitar, harmonica, banjo and he can sing well too. He lives like he's still a student. He has two roommates and his apartment is very crappy. It reminded me of Charity. She lives in the Avenues with roommates and it looks like a student-lived-in house.  Charity is a physician's assistant. She also has roommates. Ironically the MidSingles I met in Logan had better apartments/homes. Stacy was the Director of nursing at some weight-loss facility. She had a gorgeous new 2-story house. Kendra had roommates but she rented a beautiful home decorated a little too country for my taste BUT at least she had granite countertops and stainless steel appliances.

Joni and Sarah rented a beautiful home. Renee had a nice house too. I hate her house she shares with her sister here. They don't know how to decorate. It has NOOO personality and is pretty ugly. Julie is the only one with a nice place that is decorated pretty well. There are much nicer AND BIGGER places however for what she's paying for. I had 2 gorgeous apartments in Logan I took pains to decorate well. Although Curtis gutted most of his house it had very nice curb appeal and the areas he did decorate he did well although I didn't like that his love seat matched his sofa EXACTLY and I remember not liking his kitchen or the picture he hung in his dining room. AT LEAST he hung a picture in his dining room. Mark lived in a pigsty. Another Mark in the ward fed the sisters and I chaperoned. That's why I saw the first Mark's house. This Mark however lived in the Four Seasons condominiums the sister condos to my complex. His place was gorgeous, furnished beautifully and was very much like my last apartment only his finishings were higher-end. While I had black matching appliances, he had stainless steel.

I want a 2-bedroom/2-bathroom loft with a gourmet kitchen and spa-like bathroom AND I want it soon. A huge walk-in pimped-out closet is also a priority. Of course first I need a job. It is getting more and more frustrating. I'm beginning to think I need to find my part time job asap AND start my real estate career before it passes me by.

I enjoy Shem because he's an English major and we have a lot in common although I'm not attracted to him AT ALL. After jamming a bunch on his banjo we watched a Chinese movie. I talked to him about the ending that didn't really have a definite resolution and how we as Americans want everything settled at the end of a movie. He told me he talks to his class about that. I met several of his friends. They were all nice and they were all different.
