My Random Blogging Therapy
Today was fast Sunday and the first time I could officially share my testimony so I did. Fast Sunday is just an emotional Sunday because we haven't eaten anything. I told my ward I was emotional and crying for nothing. I told them how I've always had a testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel and I used to feel guilty about it because I never had to work for it the way other people seem to have had to work so hard for it. I also talked about panhandlers and how they annoy me but then how we are counseled to help the poor and needy and how grateful I am to have Elder Holland's talk that specifically told us we can help by fasting each month. That should be our minimum.
George brought his family over and they surprised Nata by giving her the envelope with the call to open. She is going to the Washington DC North temple visitor's center. She reports December 31st. I am so excited for her and I can't wait for her to have this experience. I can't wait to spoil her as she prepares for this. I love my niece so much and I am so happy she chose to do this.
Mosiah 1
3 And he also taught them concerning the records which were engraven on the plates of brass, saying: My sons, I would that ye should remember that were it not for these plates, which contain these records and these commandments, we must have suffered inignorance, even at this present time, not knowing the mysteries of God.
Do we appreciate the scriptures the way we should? Do we realize how severe the repercussions are if we ignore these?

In every age the Lord gives his people the direction they need at the moment of their peril and danger.
