Urban Poly Princess

That was an incredible general conference. I had fun with my extended family last night. I can't believe Jakey is so big now AND that Jared has so many big beautiful kids. My nieces and nephews played soccer and of course we ate stuff. Kolo's wife is pregnant with a boy. Vai, Kolo and my married/older nieces/nephews showed up - Nakita, her husband and sister-in-law, Mosa and his wife, JR and his girlfriend, Noke, his friend that looks gay and this girl. I think my nephew is gay but I don't feel like asking anyone if he is. Jakey is very handsome of course. Jared is Japanese/Hawaiian/Tongan. His dad is my dad's oldest brother.  I didn't realize how much time I spent with Jared but I really did spend a lot of time with him. He ONLY dated white girls so when he married Kazuko who is Japanese from Japan AND an RM I was surprised at his good taste. Jared served in Japan. Kazuko's dad is one of the pioneers in the church in Japan. There is actually a picture of Kazuko in the Church museum.

We both lived with our aunt Sala when I first moved to Utah and when Jared was preparing for his wedding. He attended the U and lived in married student housing. I visited him a lot then too. I didn't have a VCR yet YES, that LONG AGO!!! so I'd watch movies at his house. I had a friend that kept bothering me at all hours at my apartment sooo I went and slept at their house. Kazuko makes the best sushi AND chicken Katsu. OF COURSE SHE DOES!!! SHE'S FROM JAPAN!!! I remember attending Jakey's blessing too. Jared worked with me briefly at First Security Bank. This is after he was married but before he attended the U. We both attended the U at the same time.

Jakey was such a cute little boy, of course he'd grow up to be so handsome. He's only 15. Kazuko said he plays football but he isn't aggressive at all. Most of his kids play soccer and Mele's boys played soccer too when they were little so they all had a soccer game yesterday INCLUDING Jared's youngest Taitai who is 5. His kids are Jakey, Kaho, Kana, Jin, Maimai and Taitai. Taitai's real name is Jared and he is sooo cute. He was in there playing soccer with all the big kids.

It was nice watching the PCC reunion film between conference sessions with my mother. There were so many people there that I grew up with AND that I worked with. They also included a black n white picture of my mom and when they showed Elvis she was dancing Tahitian in more footage. She may not have gone to the reunion but she is still featured in the video. She was in the original show in '63. Her friends who did make it to the reunion took a picture and all signed it. They sent it to her. In addition to that they sent her a t-shirt they had made specifically for the '63 crowd.

She had me take a picture of her wearing the shirt so she can send it to her friends. I did. I drove back this morning just in time for work so my car is filled with my bags. Walmart had a newspaper special so I bought 8 papers and clipped what I want. I also bought a coupon folder. The Sunday paper was here this morning so I'm going to clip what's in there too. I wish I had some red plums. I bought a case it folder like the ladies recommended. I bought enough inserts. I am prepared to become a master coupon person. I'm going to go get my binder from my car in a second here.
