My Random Blogging Therapy
The Lord's day. I need to call George tonight to see if he can pick up newspapers for me and take them to SLC to my mother who I know can mail them to me. I will work on collecting and gathering coupons today but the real work isn't going to begin until AFTER Sunday. I don't want to wear my aqua eyeshadow all the time but it emphasizes my eyes' hazel properties when I wear it or green. I could make it a green day to mix it up.
I've made sure I do my makeup EVERY time I do a sesh and ESPECIALLY when I work there. Although I NEED a fill, my nails look great. That's another thing I am making sure looks perfect EVERY time I go to the temple. ALL my life I've been annoyed by people who try to judge my spirituality by the way I look or dress. Modesty is the standard. Being ugly OR not caring how you look DOES NOT endow U with spiritual power. That comes through consistently working on that through reading your scriptures DAILY and praying often. Heeding the spirit is a constant battle we need to be fighting EVERY day too. Through the gift of the Holy Ghost as members we are entitled to a constant stream of revelation.
There are some things Heavenly Father cares very much about BUT for the most part he just wants us to exercise our own wisdom. Exactly like what Joseph Smith said once, "I give them correct principles and let them govern themselves. David O. McKay said even an old barn looks better with paint. I've ALWAYS wanted to be an example of someone that can have it all by my standards. I want to be gorgeous, spiritually sound AND brilliant!!! I keep going through phases with my fitness level. I know I'm overweight BUT I also know I'm still extremely pretty. I can't settle just because I have that knowledge.

The Windows of Heaven - David A. Bednar
Eyes and ears of faith are required, however, to notice in us an increased spiritual and temporal capacity (see Luke 2:52) to do more with less, a keener ability to prioritize and simplify, and an enhanced ability to take proper care of the material possessions we already have acquired. We might want and expect a larger paycheck, but the blessing that comes to us through heavenly windows may be greater capacity to change our own circumstances rather than expecting our circumstances to be changed by someone or something else.
