Our fhe group went on a hike yesterday which means I DIDN'T attend fhe. I don't get intentionally being outside in the hot sun when you can be inside with your AC on. I finished my latest Korean drama at 2am so I got up at 6:30 but then slept until 7:40 when I frantically rushed to work. I had Greek yogurt followed by microwave popcorn. I brought my water bottle filled with ice to work. Ice-cold water is fine and I don't feel like I need soda. I'm pleased with myself for NOT eating out although it was tempting this morning. The admissions director Clay was admonishing me a little for the poor breakfast choice. I put my popcorn in the microwave while he was cleaning out his bullet from his protein shake. I need to buy some good protein. The cheap stuff at Walmart is just disgusting and I end up throwing it away. Except for EAS shakes. I love those. I just need to save money and mix my own. I have a bullet, it's not like I can't do that myself.

I need to buy some brown sugar for teriyaki sauce for the musubi I need to make. Some recipes I've seen online add scrambbled egg. That would make it very much a Hawaiian breakfast. I also have everything but the shitake mushrooms and furikake for that sushi casserole I just got the recipe for. I'd like to try to make minced meat pies like the ones they sell in Tonga. They got that stuff from New Zealand which sells them all over the place. Minced meat is just ground beef. I bought some along with spaghetti sauce and angel hair pasta BUT I'd like to try something different. I want premade tart shells that are cheap but first I want to perfect this recipe. I'd like to be able to make this stuff on my own.

Yes I'm going to do that. Instead of musubi I'm making my sushi casserole BUT I need furikake and shitake mushrooms that I probably can't get here. Time for another trip to that Korean market. I hope they have some.

It'll definitely taste better. I have aunty Lila's cookbook I can't wait to use but I'm probably going to wait until I'm in my new home. I'm so excited I'm moving next week!!! Next Friday I'll be in my new home. I need to get those boxes from my friend Katie. Her mother just moved in with her from Ohio.

Ether 4
15 Behold, when ye shall rend that veil of unbelief which doth cause you to remain in your awful state of wickedness, and hardness of heart, and blindness of mind, then shall the great and marvelous things which have been hid up from the foundation of the world from you—yea, when ye shall call upon the Father in my name, with a broken heart and a contrite spirit, then shall ye know that the Father hath remembered the covenant which he made unto your fathers, O house of Israel.

I love the language here. Rend that veil of unbelief!!!

The Lord's Way - Stanley G. Ellis
To be direct—with livestock and machinery involved, you don’t have time to “beat around the bush” or to worry about being politically correct. (In this respect, as I have served throughout the Church, I have often asked, “Do you want me to speak directly or with sugar?” As a rule the Saints have chosen “direct!” I will be direct today.)
Do we really expect President Monson to individually tell more than 14 million of us where our family is needed? The Lord’s way is that we hearken to our leaders’ teachings, understand correct principles, and govern ourselves.
Again, I witness the Lord has the way! Our Heavenly Father knows us, loves us, and wants to help. He knows best how to help. We are not spiritual orphans!

Tone is paramount. I like being direct and people who are direct with me. We can still be kind however even as we are direct.
