3 Nephi 18
The last part of verse 7 is
And if ye do always remember me ye shall have my Spirit to be with you.
By taking the sacrament we can and should remember the Savior. This sacred act of remembering allows us to have the companionship of the Holy Ghost.
The Savior gives the people the sacrament. The previous night Christ wept several times and even ministered to the children. It sounds like an amazing General Conference weekend led by the master himself. At the end a cloud covers the multitude as the Savior ascends into heaven.
For Peace at Home - Richard G. Scott
Be certain that every decision you make, whether temporal or spiritual, is conditioned on what the Savior would have you do. When He is the center of your home, there is peace and serenity. There is a spirit of assurance that pervades the home, and it is felt by all who dwell there.
I’m sure you can identify the fundamental principles that center your home on the Savior. The prophetic counsel to have daily personal and
family prayer, daily personal and family scripture study, and weekly family home evening are the essential, weight-bearing beams in the construction of a Christ-centered home. Without these regular practices it will be difficult to find the desired and much-needed peace and refuge from the world.
Remember: little things lead to big things. Seemingly insignificant indiscretions or neglect can lead to big problems. More importantly, simple, consistent, good habits lead to a life full of bountiful blessings.
Today was BUUUSY. I gave my official intent to vacate notice to my leasing company. I suppose it's cheaper for them to just pretend my AC's fine and have the repairman come out EVERY month of the summer. I DON"T THINK SO!!! I am just getting more and more excited to leave.
After teaching this morning I had to hurry up and figure out the books needed on the 17th. I didn't think about it at all when I went to Happy Valley and I just realized yesterday that I hadn't ordered anything. It's almost 9pm already. I went to the ONLY Asian store in Logan. There is a restaurant next door. There was a bunch of people eating and it smelled delicious. I just went there because I'm running out of rice. I bought a 25 lb bag of white short grain rice. I ordered their pork chop chae and bought some stainless steel chopsticks and Nori. Their cheapest nor is 2.67. Smith's sells it now for 2.79. All the Asian stores sell it for $2 in Salt Lake. I need to remember to stock up whenever I'm there. Their chop chae was sweeter than mine and didn't have the amount of sesame seed oil I put in there. It was very good but NOT worth it when I can get A LOT more at Mo Bettah Steaks.
