My Random Blogging Therapy
I slept as long as I could then I jumped in the shower and went to my orthodontist appointment. This should be the last aligner!!! Just 3 more weeks. I wish I had done this long ago. It was sooo easy. I'm VERY happy it's about done. Now I can go to my dentist and complete my work this year, see my dermatologist then find a new pair of glasses. Next year I want lasik surgery so I can get rid of these contacts!!! I looove my flex spending account. Doing Zumba with my sister-in-law was good. I'm sooo NOT as fit as her BUT it wouldn't take much to get there. If I lived near her I'd attend her classes for free EVERY morning but Sunday.
I went to Golden Harvest Bakery to see if they had oatmeal raisin cookies. They did AND they just came out of the oven so I spent 7.50 on 6 giant cookies. Instead of restricting the damage to that I bought a loaf of their sourdough asiago bread. It is delicious BUT I spent around $13 there. So much for curbing my spending. I'm meeting my visiting teachers at Hermes Inn Friday at 11:45 before I travel to Salt Lake City. I can cross another restaurant off my list. Bluebird, Le Nonne and now La Tormenta are left on my Cache Valley eateries.

11 For the Spirit of the Lord will not always astrive with man. And when the Spirit bceaseth to strive with man then cometh speedy destruction, and this grieveth my soul.
16 For those who shall be destroyed shall aspeak unto them out of the ground, and their speech shall be low out of the dust, and their voice shall be as one that hath a familiar spirit; for the Lord God will give unto him power, that he may whisper concerning them, even as it were out of the ground; and their speech shall whisper out of the dust.
The Isaiah chapters have ended. There is so much stuff here to think about. I hope the spirit ALWAYS strives with me. I know as I follow it and seek its guidance I will be blessed with additional insight. Verse 16 reminds me of Dead Poets Society when he takes his class to look at an old picture of a class and he whispers the whole Carpe Diem thing. I love this movie so much. Carpe Diem is what I strive for. We need to seize the day and take advantage fully of the many blessings we continue to receive. Eternal happiness is certainly eternal progression. I am happiest as I improve myself each day. If we are not improving ourselves daily, there is no point.
Followers of Christ - Dallin Oaks
Jesus’s teachings were not meant to be theoretical. Always they were to be acted upon. Jesus taught, “Whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man”
Following Christ is not a casual or occasional practice but a continuous commitment and way of life that applies at all times and in all places.
Only two days after the tragedy and still deeply distraught, this forgiving man, then serving as one of our bishops, said, “As a disciple of Christ, I had no other choice.”5
I testify of our Savior, Jesus Christ, whose teachings and example we seek to follow. He invites all of us who are heavy laden to come unto Him, to learn of Him, to follow Him, and thus to find rest to our souls (see Matthew 4:19; 11:28). I testify of the truth of His message and of the divine mission and authority of His restored Church in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Dallin Oaks is the man. Since he was president of Chicago Law School and since for a looong time I wanted to attend law school he has always been one of my favorite apostles. There are many jokes about lawyers being evil. I could always use Dallin Oaks as my example of a righteous lawyer. I still want to attend law school some day but not work in the field. I just want a doctorate degree and if I ever do that I'd rather go to law school.
We are specifically told to get as much education as we can. I still want to do it.
