It is my niece's prom today. Her dress is amazing!!! It fits her perfectly. Her date picked her up at 10 this morning to go hiking. Her date is Samoan and they're going as a group hiking. Later they will bring her home at around 3pm when she will get dressed. They will pick her up at 6pm. I'm doing her make-up AND taking a ton of pictures as all good aunties should do! I told her she was lucky to be getting a professional make-up artist to do her make-up BUT she had me laughing when she said that was a looong time ago!!! I used to do make-up at one of those glamor shot places. I also worked at a make-up counter at Liberty House the ONLY luxury department store chain in Hawaii once.

I am still a make-up fanatic. One day I'm going to take that make-up media 2-week intensive training held by that lady in Lehi? It costs over 2000 so NOT anytime soon. It's just something I want to do for fun myself. I did a dry run with Nata. I don't want her to NOT like her own make-up at the prom.

George attends a Samoan ward. They just split their ward. They had a party I was able to attend. I loooved their food. Maybe it is because they have a lot of members from Hawaii. There were 2 types of noodles, fried rice AND all the other stuff you'd expect. 2 sisters brought chocolate-covered strawberries. My old roommate Tiare Stone is in that ward. She is AWESOME!!! She is actually George's age BUT I love that she is intelligent AND spiritual. She used to work with my dad which is why I know her at ALL.

Obedience to Law Is Liberty - Elder L. Tom Perry

The main effects of these depreciating attitudes about the sanctity of marriage are the consequences to families—the strength of families is deteriorating at an alarming rate. This deterioration is causing widespread damage to society. I see direct cause and effect. As we give up commitment and fidelity to our marriage partners, we remove the glue that holds our society together.

May we ever be a light on the hill, an example in keeping the commandments, which have never changed and will never change. Just as this small book encouraged LDS servicemen to stand morally firm in times of war, may we, in this latter-day war, be a beacon to all the earth and particularly to God’s children who are seeking the Lord’s blessings. Of this I testify in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Agency AND free will is divine!!! I feel like parents are responsible for what their child reads and ONLY for what their child reads. Intellectual freedom preserves the rights of others EVEN and ESPECIALLY minority rights.
