Thursday

Sometimes, like TODAY, I NEED my weekend!!! I wish I didn't have to go to Salt Lake City again but I do tomorrow. I have an RS visit with a new girl Esther tonight at 7:30. Tomorrow morning I have to drive to West Jordan for our Intellectual Freedom Committee meeting. Adriene's party just happens to coincide with that in the evening AND is being held right by the library near my mother's house or the Day-Riverside library. Adriene is going to do great as the Director of the Park City Library. I wonder if it's part of a system. I interviewed once for a librarian position there right after I graduated. It's the one place in Utah I wouldn't have minded living in despite the ugly snow. It reminds me a little of Hawaii because it is so touristy. It's just not as nice as Hawaii although they have fantastic restaurants there.

Saturday I have to be home in time to bake cinnamon rolls for Jenny and Scott. I'm pretty sure I'm going with the sisters to another discussion with them but whether I join them or not I'm going to drop those off. I need to pay my phone bill, my VERY cheap but still bill of $35.00 along with my insurance which is fifty-something.

Mosiah 23
But he said unto them: Behold, it is not expedient that we should have a king; for thus saith the Lord: Ye shall anot esteem one flesh above another, or one man shall not think himself above another; therefore I say unto you it is not expedient that ye should have a king.
18 Therefore they did watch over their people, and did anourishthem with things pertaining to righteousness.

I have to write something to include in Stevens-Henager's newsletter along with the students and business adjunct who attended. Here's what I wrote:

“Are you HUUUNGRY?”  Les Brown asked. The question made me think. How committed am I to achieving my goals?  Everyone, he said, has something amazing to contribute. I believe that. Whether I live to my potential, my dream, is not just my choice, it is my obligation to the world. “Live full, die empty,” Brown also said. My life matters only if I develop my ideas and live to my capacity. Death should come only after I am “empty” or I have attained my dreams.
Success 2013 reminded me to constantly improve. Time is extremely valuable thus it should be used wisely. Real Estate guru James Smith admonished us to find multiple sources of income, to increase our wealth so we can bless the lives of others.

Be Not Moved - Elaine S. Dalton
Your choices matter. Your choices now not only affect you, but they also affect others. They are of eternal significance. Be not moved!
Second, be not moved in your desire and commitment to remain virtuous and sexually pure. Cherish virtue. Your personal purity is one of your greatest sources of power.
Your body is a temple. Why? Because it has the capacity to house not only your eternal spirit but also the eternal spirits of others who will come to the earth as part of your eternal family.
Stand in holy places, and do not even go near those environments or music, media, or associations that might cause you to lose the companionship of the Holy Ghost.
Young women, generations are depending on the choices you make, your purity, and your worthy lives. Be not moved. You have a great destiny before you. This is your moment! I truly believe that one virtuous young woman, led by the Spirit, can change the world!
Since the Young Women's conference talks are included with the other conference talks I read this today. It's probably in the conference Ensign too.
