Great Workout!!!

EMZ was kicking today and so was my sweat. I like the choreography our EMZ instructors teach us because it is complicated enough to be fun once you get it down. I love Betsy Vakapuna's routines. I don't know if it's Satomi or Maya who do some complicated but good routines. I've seriously wanted to kill one of them who is super-perky all the damn time but as I get fit and more familiar with their routines I love it and I love them. Sinai is easy to follow because she prepares us with cues when she leads us in a song. The guest instructors were sweet and good BUUUT NOOOT as good as our instructors who really give us a workout.

Yesterday I was looking at LinkedIn profiles and I came across Nick Makihele. I didn't remember him because he was so young then but I do remember visiting his family on my mission in Sacramento. His dad I think was less-active. It was cool to see him when I first did because he told me he just finished his mission to New Mexico. Seeing him as the manager of a hair salon was strange so I kept looking and he is at a very high end salon. I think he's gay now. I needed a trim so I booked an appointment with him which was $55 for a blowout plus cut. He did a fabulous job. He is 36. Wow! I told him he's older than me now. Hahaha!

I asked him if he still goes to church and he told me he hasn't attended for several years. I couldn't bring myself to ask him if he was gay. He doesn't act gay. Weird. I don't get that vibe from him but he has pictures with a lot of men and I can't explain why he would've left the church unless he was gay.

He is very talented. He hasn't done this long... only for around 3 years but he already has pictures with THE Paul Mitchell and a movie set he did hair at. He is also the manager at a high-end salon at City Creek Mall. It's called Lunatic Fringe and is at the top floor of the Chalk Garden. Nakita was the manager at Chalk Garden at the Gateway.

Receiving a Testimony of Light and Truth - Dieter F. Uchtdorf

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a place for people with all kinds of testimonies. There are some members of the Church whose testimony is sure and burns brightly within them. Others are still striving to know for themselves. The Church is a home for all to come together, regardless of the depth or the height of our testimony. I know of no sign on the doors of our meetinghouses that says, “Your testimony must be this tall to enter.”

The Church is not just for perfect people, but it is for all to “come unto Christ, and be perfected in him.”15 The Church is for people like you and me. The Church is a place of welcoming and nurturing, not of separating or criticizing. It is a place where we reach out to encourage, uplift, and sustain one another as we pursue our individual search for divine truth.
Let us acknowledge that most often gaining a testimony is not a task of a minute, an hour, or a day. It is not once and done. The process of gathering spiritual light is the quest of a lifetime.
is my testimony that this spiritual light is within the reach of every child of God. It will enlighten your mind and bring healing to your heart and joy to your days. My dear friends, please do not delay the moment to seek and strengthen your own personal testimony of God’s divine work, even the work of light and truth.

Last night after talking to Sinia my childhood friend from Tonga for around 3 hours I went to see her brand new house. It is gorgeous and she made a good decision to get it. It is large enough for all her stuff. When I left Salt Lake City she was developing a relationship with one of our classmates I don't remember who has lived in New Zealand a long time. I'm not sure exactly what happened but she didn't like that he is an alcoholic BUUUT since she hasn't given up drinking herself I told her she can't expect him to change overnight. I wonder if he's ever had the missionary discussions. I think she AND Ti need to take them together and TOGETHER they need to return to church.

I know I need to do what I can to help her return. She has a testimony, I know that and her parents raised her strong in the gospel. She is the one who always used to tell me we should go on a mission later but I never felt that within myself forever. I love her very much and I hope I can be a positive influence on her.
