My Random Blogging Therapy
This morning I met with the rest of most of our staff and daytime students at Willow Park. Stevens-Henager has participated in United Way's Cache Valley Day of Caring for the past three years. Last year I did yard work at this lady's house that was EXTREMELY awful-overgrown weeds and I NEVER did yard work growing up. Looove that about my culture-that was seen as a man's job!!! The first time I did any of that was on my mission. We did service for an investigator. My hands were scratched up and the investigator lent me some gloves but that was AFTER the damage
was done.
The next time was when my Tongan singles ward cleaned the flower beds at temple square. They provided us with gloves and it wasn't as difficult as that yard but I remember the sun and muttering what was I thinking. One of the counselors to the bishop overheard me and told me of course I had to do that because that's the type of person I am. NOOO-Elder Tom Perry stopped by and spoke to us-that was nice. Yes those were my two experiences before the yard from hell last year.
This year I made sure I worked somewhere inside. Me and 5 of my co-workers removed books from the bottom shelves at the Logan Public Library and wiped them down with clorox wipes before putting the books back. This required a lot of squatting and sitting on the floor. My legs feel like I did weights now. Zumba tomorrow should take care of that.
Tonight my friend Elenoa invited me to attend a work party with her. It was at the park where Sarah's having her Logan reception which is great because now I know where it is. The food was alright. It was nice of her to invite me.
Tomorrow's Brigham City day with Krista. Temple Open House, Maddox and Peach Days!!! Also Sharla's fruit stand. There's a 31 + dance I wanted to check out 2. I asked Elenoa about it and she told me there are senior citizens there and that it's scary. It's probably like those firesides and Institute. I'm trying to attend more activities and be more social. It doesn't mean I don't know what my future holds. It just means I'm trying to do everything I think my father in heaven would have me do.
Saturday is Sarah's shower, Jonni's party and stake conference. Sunday is stake conference and a potluck thing for Sarah and Aaron after.
If I had money and energy I would also hit up my cousin Maria's wedding. She's not close enough that I feel like I have to attend. ULA Fall conference on the 28th is in Springville followed by Mosa's wedding on the 29th. Sunday I'll drive back to Logan so I can hear David's piano number on the 30th.
Waaay after 12 BUT it's my Friday and we're not leaving until 10am!!!
