My Random Blogging Therapy
The talks were so good and sooo what I needed to hear. I got there right on time and like last time there was a space right across the street that people in Utah are scared of because it required parallel parking. If you can't parallel park in Hawaii, you can't park. So my space was there where I could avoid all the crowd in a parking lot. I delivered all but two of my thank you cards and candy. I finished writing them during the choir's song and the first talk.
David was in the choir and he was front and center. I bought a notebook for notes because my stupid phone's keyboard is much too small and difficult to use. I tried a tiny notebook last night but the pages started falling out so I bought one last night.
Distractions was one of the themes. Several people talked about this. There are many good and worthy things that demand our time. We can't let ANYTHING, even if it is another good thing, prevent us from doing what is most important. That struck a chord with me. It's easy to do this.
Someone said to beware of some day which often never comes. Another thing that is easy to fall into.
President Hobbs gave an entire talk on home teaching and visiting teaching. He made a powerful promise to the stake that we would be blessed with what we need if we magnified our visiting teaching and home teaching.
I wonder what's happening for fhe tomorrow. Margaret Oak hosted Sarah's shower she invited the entire relief society to attend. She made several types of pasta. She served water with cut up lemons like I do only she also had oranges. Her house is cute. I feel like redecorating it just from what I was able to look at.
I think I'll pull out my phone and text David about fhe.
