My Random Blogging Therapy
I FINALLY unpacked the last 3 boxes filled with books and papers. I looked through each of these when I was searching for my glasses BUT of course I didn't find them UNTIL NOW. So now I have 2 pairs of glasses with the current prescription. At least the frames I got aren't dated. I still like these BUT they were very contemporary when I broke my leg AWHILE ago before my mother moved here probably in 2006. They are red and I wore them now just to see how they felt AND they feel AND still look great. I WISH I found them before.
My rooms are looking great AND are definitely more functional. My guest room is looking like a room now FINALLY. My coats, jackets, boots and suitcases all fit in the closet and there's still more space. I need to get used to my steamer then I can take my iron and ironing board to my mother. I'm not sure if she can use it but I bought those new so I want to see if she wants them before I give them to DI. It's a steam iron but it still requires just as much work ironing as normal irons. I need to try my steamer today. I'm doing laundry, cleaning and then there's dinner with Mark and the sisters tonight.
There's a mid-singles Wolverine outing that sounds great BUT I really don't need to see that and I can't see spending on a movie I'm not that excited to see when there's so much to watch on tv or just online.
Looking through my papers I came across my Myer-Briggs personality test stuff. What I like about the Myer-Briggs test is it is well-researched and a lot more detailed than the other pop-psychology stuff. My first library school class made us all take the test. I am an INTJ BUT I frequently test ENTJ also. My J characteristic is extremely strong. I answer almost ALWAYS in the J area. The NT are also consistent. We had two adjuncts that did A LOT of work with MBTI-inventory. Keith told me I was an ambivert when I told him my inconsistent testing problem. That means I am both an intovert AND extrovert.
What I like about both the INTJ and ENTJ is that they both describe me well. It is why I give it as much attention as I do. For my professor to force me and my class to take it and then for Keith and Pam our adjuncts who used to teach/work at USU and the University of Idaho to give it the credit they did encouraged me to look into it more. I remembered the test dubbed one of the profiles the engineer so I looked it up. It is INTP. Interesting. I read the characteristics and they seem to fit my friend to a T but he never took the test so there's no way to really tell although it seems pretty accurate to me.
I don't remember exactly what he said when I first asked him about it but I know while he's heard of it he has a very limited and inaccurate understanding of what it is.
