Urban Poly Princess

I was finally Sister 2 this morning at the temple meaning I could go through a session AND watch the film. With a 50-50 chance of seeing the new film ...  I DIDN'T!!! I invited Andrew to conference and he agreed. I think he's going to benefit as much from the discussions as his friend Alan. He asked me if he had to wear a suit. I told him that would be nice but he didn't HAVE to wear one. He usually comes to church with a button-down shirt and no tie. I don't think he's cutting his hair anytime soon.

Andrew is very intelligent. That doesn't go with his image. He has the Poly bad boy thing down cold. He fights semi-professionally and trains a lot at the gym. I forgot what college he attended but I think it's a really good school. He attended Punahou in Hawaii which is the expensive private school Presidnt Obama went to and cost my one room mate more in tuition than when we were at the Y. She used to tell us her dad was very happy about her Y tuition plus she got some sort of academic scholarship after attending the Y for the first few semesters eventually making her tuition free.

Some midsingles committee put together a gym day at the Sports Academy. I love Zumba and weight-training. I even like skating BUUUT except for dancing I don't really want to work out with guys. I don't have cute workout clothes or really good tennis shoes. AND there is a reason for that. I don't intend to workout with men UNTIL I can fit the cute sizes AGAIN. Andrew wants to introduce me to a friend of his from California who he thinks will benefit from the gospel in his life. He fights or boxes in the same local league Andrew fights with. There is so much irony in this. Andrew is all about sharing the gospel with his non-LDS friends but I don't think he's truly converted himself. He told me our ward is cliquey and that he wants to do service-type activities the "jesus-stuff" is what he called it. He told me he keeps making service-oriented suggestions and keeps getting shot down for parties.

I told him my bad horror experience when our fhe cleaned Jenn's house when she moved. My skin STILL crawls just thinking about it.
