Busy, busy, busy day

NEVER buy a couch or ANY furniture if you haven't seen it in person. My couch looks dull and there is this noticeable white stitching. I wanted them to take it back they pressured me to sign it and assured me the manager would take care of me tomorrow. He wasn't there today. Esther told me they don't have one in stock so I'd have to wait another 2 weeks until that can happen. The couch is comfortable BUT I REALLY don't want to pay for something I don't like!!! I'm not just renting a couch at a stupid interest rate, I'm trying to buy it outright in 4 months WITHOUT spending a cent in interest. Because it's dull it doesn't look like leather. Sooo annoying!!!

That manager better take care of me tomorrow or I'm going to have a serious problem with this. GRRR!!! Sharla told me to check out shelves at furniture stores around $250 a shelf. I'm going to do that. I REALLY need some nice tall shelves. She said she doesn't want to get something that we just view online. After this couch experience I am NEVER buying this type of stuff online!!! The other couch is actually cheaper according to Esther. They better make this right tomorrow.

The picture is deceptive. I assumed it would be the same type of leather only in a different style. The couch I'm getting lights up. That is stupid. Actually the light is blue and hidden and I did actually see it at the store. Luckily I can just ignore that stupid feature.

I REALLY like Jette Youngblood, the broker I met today. She is well-put-together and has been in the industry for 14 years. She asked me if I could put together a list of 75 contacts in the area. I told her I could. And I can through CVLA, church and work! She was not very positive about the part time thing. Elder Whetton was positive I think because he knows me personally. She said she'll think about it. I will follow up with an email thanking her for meeting with me.

Ether 13
For as Joseph brought his father down into the land of aEgypt, even so he died there; wherefore, the Lord brought a remnant of the seed of Joseph out of the land of Jerusalem, that he might be merciful unto the seed of Joseph that they should bperish not, even as he was merciful unto the father of Joseph that he should perish not.

25 Now there began to be a war upon all the face of the land, aevery man with his band fighting for that which he desired.
26 And there were robbers, and in fine, all manner of wickedness upon all the face of the land.
27 And it came to pass that Coriantumr was exceedingly angry with Shared, and he went against him with his armies to battle; and they did meet in great anger, and they did meet in the valley of Gilgal; and the battle became exceedingly sore.
28 And it came to pass that Shared fought against him for the space of three days. And it came to pass that Coriantumr beat him, and did pursue him until he came to the plains of Heshlon.
29 And it came to pass that Shared gave him battle again upon the plains; and behold, he did beat Coriantumr, and drove him back again to the valley of Gilgal.
30 And Coriantumr gave Shared battle again in the valley of Gilgal, in which he beat Shared and slew him.
Such a mess!!! Corruption and power and NOT in a good way.
For Peace at Home - Richard G. Scott
I’m sure you can identify the fundamental principles that center your home on the Savior. The prophetic counsel to have daily personal andfamily prayer, daily personal and family scripture study, and weekly family home evening are the essential, weight-bearing beams in the construction of a Christ-centered home. Without these regular practices it will be difficult to find the desired and much-needed peace and refuge from the world.

More importantly, simple, consistent, good habits lead to a life full of bountiful blessings.
Doing all we can to invite the gentle, guiding influence of the Holy Ghost into our lives is critical in our attempts to center our homes on the Savior. Acting obediently on those promptings strengthens us even more.

When we obey the commandments of the Lord and serve His children unselfishly, the natural consequence is power from God—power to do more than we can do by ourselves. Our insights, our talents, our abilities are expanded because we receive strength and power from the Lord. His power is a fundamental component to establishing a home filled with peace.
One of the greatest blessings we can offer to the world is the power of a Christ-centered home where the gospel is taught, covenants are kept, and love abounds.

Breakfast at 6am tomorrow at Richard Chang's house. Something disconcerting, I was telling Rich how I needed to be connected all the time as in have access to the internet. He told me I needed to be careful and that he purposely doesn't have the internet in his home because, "every guy who likes women will want to view things." HUH???!!! I asked him what he thought I was viewing. FACEBOOK and reading my scriptures along with watching conference talks. He asked me if I knew what he meant and I said NOOO. He felt stupid and told me to forget what he said. I wish I could.

Krista likes Rich because he's half Chinese AND speaks Mandarin. She asked me if I liked him. I told her I didn't like his 4 kids. One of them is just 9 months old. He said his marriage fell apart before his last child was born. I like that he's from Hawaii even if he did move away when he was 5. He can relate to a lot of the same things. Of course if doesn't hurt that he's attractive. I think anyone can make a marriage work. I know that's extremely presumptuous of me to believe that. I don't like that my friends' parents are divorced because it makes me think he won't try as hard in his own marriage and will get divorced over something silly.

Rich is worse. He couldn't make it work with a woman he has 4 beautiful kids with. Why would it work with anyone else? I love that he's an attorney because it was almost my profession. Whatever he does however he'll still have to pay alimony and child support for 4 children as he should. I'm not trying to support anyone financially. Temporarily because of school is the ONLY exception I can think of that would EVER justify that for me.

Real Estate class was fine today. Work was CRAZY. A LOT of my books came in late and I spent ALL DAY barcoding and prep-ing books for students to check out for their classes. I didn't have a second to breathe.

Emerging leaders sent me an email only to tell me ALL applicants would be notified if they were selected or not by October 21. I REALLY want to get in. There were 180 applicants and they only select 50. I HAAATE waiting for these results!!!
