Fabulous Friday

Budgeting then getting ready for tomorrow. I need to be well-rested. I figured it is about a 6-hour shift. I'm sure there is a break or two with all of the old people who work there. Of course by law you need to give people a 15-minute break per 4 straight hours of working. When I was a church service missionary at the conference center we didn't get breaks but nothing we did was too taxing anyway.

1 Nephi 9

4 Upon the other plates should be engraven an account of the reign of the kings, and the wars and contentions of my people; wherefore these plates are for the more part of the ministry; and the aother plates are for the more part of the reign of the kings and the wars and contentions of my people.
What's with Ether then? I don't get much besides the wars and contentions. I probably just need to read it again. I know the beginning with the weaknesses for humility scriptures and then that treatise on faith BUT then it is bogged down by family strife, ruthless power-grabbing wickedness. I know this is the Martin Harris reference and I should see the wisdom and foresight of our father in heaven. Instead I'm thinking there's more to Ether I'm not getting.

Every covenant servant of His within His kingdom on earth and in the spirit world will receive His guidance by the Spirit as they bless and serve others for Him. And they will feel His love and find joy in being drawn closer to Him.
I am a witness of the Resurrection of the Lord as surely as if I had been there in the evening with the two disciples in the house on Emmaus road. I know that He lives as surely as did Joseph Smith when he saw the Father and the Son in the light of a brilliant morning in a grove of trees in Palmyra.
My mind wandered as I listened to this talk but then it perked up as he testified of the Savior.
