My Random Blogging Therapy
Since I left early yesterday to take care of my TV I decided to run through the drive-through for lunch.2 McDoubles, dollar fries and a large diet coke. The lunch of champions!!! Not so much. I'm going to stick this other McDouble in the fridge. I was doing so well on my caffeine intake. I bought a Diet Dr. Pepper from the vending machine and now I'm drinking diet coke. I'm like the old ladies I met on my mission who would take Vivarin on the Saturdays they drove over 2 hours from Sacramento to work at the Oakland temple all day before driving back to Sacramento so they could be ready for church Sunday. That's before Sacramento had a temple. They got one the year after I left my mission. IRONY!!! I have to remember them on those days I don't feel like getting up and working at the temple. I've always lived close to a temple. I've been fortunate. Sacramento really needed a temple.
I really looove that it is Thursday AND that payday is tomorrow. I love especially that I don't work. I always have more bills than I want. The real estate agent last night talked to us about making a contact list of people we know. I need to get started on that. I like everything she said about Real Estate. Ultimately setting your own hours, helping people and no cap on how much money you can make. Everything I looove!!! This is something I enjoy and I can envision myself being very good at it. I'm glad Elder Whetton encouraged me to do this. I like the idea of making money according to what you put into it.
I love being a librarian too. What I like about that is the hours are somewhat flexible too since most public libraries open until 9pm. I love being a librarian. There is an opening for a public Young Adult librarian at the Logan Public Library. The salary is up to $45,000 to start. My friend Chris who works here printed it out for me. The Director is awesome. I know Robert Shupe well since I had the chance to work with him at CVLA. He is the best. He let me interview him for my Master's thesis too. Public libraries is where I plan to be. I REALLY don't plan to stay here however AND I do plan to finish up my time here first!
My director has been so good to me. I would love to be selected for the emerging leaders in October but I realize I may not be and that it is extremely competitive. Professionally whatever I do next will be awesome and my resume is looking better each day. I love how that can translate financially. I finish my time with Stevens-Henager College in March 2015. My temple service ends September 21, 2015. I could quit in March and do Real Estate fulltime for those few months I have left to serve in Logan to complete my temple service. That is more than enough time for me to develop clientele AND to master this area.
I need to learn my Cache Valley history more AND learn about the surrounding communities to serve my clients best. I like that I can help people AND make money doing it. I am so grateful I FINALLY decided to do something about my real estate interest that has been there forever but I know there's no way I could ever have committed fully to it if I didn't finish school first. I'd love to work with Elder Whetton as my broker for a time. I have no interest in living in Happy Valley however. Maybe I can just do a few deals for all of my Provo FamBam. I'd have a huge clientele there instantly. I know that. I'd love to get my nieces working with/for me there. I'd love to convince them to get their licenses. I can probably do that. I should start doing that now.
They can make a bunch of money AND go to school. I think after I am working in the industry a little while I'm going to encourage them to do it asap. Everything I've heard about it so far I love. I can't wait to close a few deals.
