My Random Blogging Therapy
Any day that I get my Zumba done in the morning is a beautiful new day!!! I'm excited to go skating again EVERYDAY at the Fun Park UNTIL I can skate by myself on the Riverwalk. Gas is expensive and admission is expensive even WITH my skates BUT it is significantly less. Now I know my skates will feel like lead and tick me off again BUUUT I'm never going to get past that if I don't go there and do something. Now I'm going to sleep and be exhausted again tonight but that actually feels great!!! There are bills to pay too. My priority is to pay Stevens-Henager College $100 to finish my laptop payment. I forgot about it in December. I can't believe I did that. I remembered again last month but I didn't have enough money at the time to pay it. Now I'm going to make my balance negative if I need to do that just to pay it because we're already at the end of March.
If I skate at the Fun Park every chance I get for the rest of March, April and May I should improve significantly. When I go to Provo I'm making one of my nieces come with me and figure out where to go skating. Right now I'm not doing enough skating to call it cardio. My muscles work, especially the ones in my feet. They don't get stiff however, neither do my legs. I'm not getting a cardio workout because I keep stopping. I have to get to the point where it actually provides me with cardio benefits because right now it's not. I need to get a helmut and wrist guards. I don't plan on falling BUT in case I do especially as the weather improves and I take it outside. I can't wait to skate Liberty Park in Salt Lake City then I'm going to try the Jordan Trail it is an easy trail, just long.
There are lots of skating groups in Salt Lake that get together to skate downtown SLC. I'd love to be part of that. The Gateway is planning a huge renovation. I have no problem with that. How the roles have reversed. When I lived downtown before the City Creek Mall construction really took off, stores were leaving Crossroads Mall to be at the Gateway Mall. Now the roles have reversed. Neither are very busy. I'm used to crowded Hawaii malls. Pearlridge, Ala Moana, The Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center, The Waikiki Trade Center, Aloha Tower Market Place, Kahala Mall, The Outlet Stores at Waikele, I miss Hawaii shopping. I miss Wyland art galleries, known for his whale and dolphin paintings I love his other stuff much more.
Salt Lake City does have Trolley Square Mall, Gateway and City Creek now. I love that. I like that the capital Theatre is there along with Abravenel Hall and the Rose Wagner Theatre. While I don't like my mother's house, I love the location. It is just over the bridge and just out of Downtown but RIGHT there. I told her to NEVER sell it. I love that Sugarhouse is there too with all of its shops filled with character. The Skate Shop Now is in Sugarhouse too. So is Ann Taylor and Barnes & Noble. I never did try the Chicken and waffle place although I did drive by it. Now I'm missing SLC!!!
Mosiah 29
31 For behold I say unto you, the sins of many people have been caused by the iniquities of their kings; therefore their iniquities are answered upon the heads of their kings.
32 And now I desire that this inequality should be no more in this land, especially among this my people; but I desire that this land be a land of liberty, and every man may enjoy his rights and privileges alike, so long as the Lord sees fit that we may live and inherit the land, yea, even as long as any of our posterity remains upon the face of the land.
Consider the Blessings - President Thomas S. Monson
I have found that, rather than dwelling on the negative, if we will take a step back and consider the blessings in our lives, including seemingly small, sometimes overlooked blessings, we can find greater happiness.
My brothers and sisters, the Lord’s purposes are often accomplished as we pay heed to the guidance of the Spirit. I believe that the more we act upon the inspiration and impressions which come to us, the more the Lord will entrust to us His errands.
I have learned, as I have mentioned in previous messages, never to postpone a prompting.
I never cease to be amazed by how the Lord can motivate and direct the length and breadth of His kingdom and yet have time to provide inspiration concerning one individual—or one cultural celebration or one Jumbotron. The fact that He can, that He does, is a testimony to me.
My brothers and sisters, the Lord is in all of our lives. He loves us. He wants to bless us. He wants us to seek His help. As He guides us and directs us and as He hears and answers our prayers, we will find the happiness here and now that He desires for us. May we be aware of His blessings in our lives, I pray in the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior, amen.
President Monson is always positive. In this way he reminds me of president Hinckley. He lives by the guidance of the spirit something available to all of us. With all of this he also recognizes the hand of the Lord in his life. I want to be as positive as him and find the joy in every situation. I want to always act on the spirit quickly. I always act on the spirit quickly, just not as fast as I need to all the time. Despite this, I am grateful for what my father in heaven sees fit to trust me with. My blessings are always far greater than what I deserve.
