My Random Blogging Therapy
It's my free day BUUUT I started off right with leftover coconut korma chicken, keer naan and jasmine rice. I followed this with Greek yogurt, an orange and an avocado. Church followed immediately after the long drive to Logan. Bishop spoke about how much our Heavenly Father loves us and how we need to be aware of that. I am well aware of this. I really do love myself despite all my challenges. I have been given so much. I am so grateful for the blessings I enjoy. I enjoyed spending time with my mother. I miss her and I worry about her being by herself in SLC.
Salt Lake City is sooo convenient. Any time I return there I am reminded of what I don't have here. Now that I'm skating again, I wish I could be in SLC to skate all the many trails they have there or even just around Liberty Park. I didn't realize how many different skating appropriate trails they had there.
Our choir sounded really good. There's a new girl Jenny Uharriet in our ward. She's an alto AND she's the easiest to follow AND she can just look at the music and get it IMMEDIATELY. THIS is what I was looking for and thought I had found with Amanda and Jen Baker BUT I can tell Jenny Uharriet is the best so far AND who I want to emulate in singing.
I CAN'T wait to try my new skates at the Fun Park tomorrow. It'll save me the rental fee and hopefully be just plain better to skate in. I took a 6 1/2. I don't know if they run big or if I just wear my shoes too big. Sooo weird. I read the reviews on Amazon.com and someone else had to do the same thing. Another person had to get a 1/2 size larger. I've always been size 7 or 7 1/2. I usually wear size 8 boots because my arch is too big. Eric, the other owner of the store AND former professional ice skater told me how my foot should reach the end without my toes either curling up or down. The K2 7's I ordered were just too big. The Rollerblades fit so much better. He told me that can affect my balance significantly. Since that's what I'm working on having the right skates seems pretty important.
I'm glad I talked to him BEFORE fitting the skates I bought and NOT just ordering them online. He knows skates and I trust his opinion. From the reviews I've had a chance to read about the skate I bought, the Rollerblade Spark 84, the upper part of the skate conforms uniquely to your foot to give you appropriate ankle support. I like what I read very much.
I didn't see my friend in church today. I should've asked him why he didn't attend the last choir practice then I would've known where he went. FHE is at Bro. Peck's house. I didn't particularly like the last time THE SAME 2 GROUPS HAD FHE THERE. I told Susie I already went there and she said now I'd get to go there again. I do remember the house being very small and sitting on this hard wooden stool that hurt my butt. Good answer from Miss Positive. I want to get there early AND get a soft chair this time although I am going skating no matter what tomorrow. I am NOT looking forward to hearing the SAME stories AGAIN and if I'm late this time I'm just not going to go. What would my father in heaven have me do? Attend, which I am really going to try to do!!!
Ward temple night is Wednesday. I'll miss skating AND try to make up for that by skating longer Friday during the day. I looove my life. I have many challenges I am working to overcome BUT as long as I do a little something EVERY day I improve.
