Alright I did a Google search to understand this imagery more. This is talking about the central message of the gospel and or the "good news" that IS the atonement of Jesus Christ. The feet implies evangelical or missionary zeal that spreads this good news through missionaries or even as brought by the Lord Jesus Christ himself when he was on the earth. The feet carry this incredible message to the world. This is why they are beautiful. It sounds like Isaiah because Isaiah said something exactly like this. Should Abinadi have attributed more?
Sometimes with the richness of the gospel we can get lost in church culture and forget what is truly important or Jesus Christ. His life and mission are why we can rejoice. Incredible leaders, teachings to live our lives well, these things are part of the church of Christ but without the Savior, without his atonement and our ability to progress and change our lives for the better we might as well be disciples of Oprah or Dr. Phil. The Savior is the ONLY way we can attain salvation. Through his mercy repentance is available and salvation is secure.
Self-help gurus proliferate the world. While their wisdom is commendable, they do not have the fullness or what Jesus Christ gives us. They cannot forgive our sins, they have not overcome death. I am so grateful to have been raised in the church of Jesus Christ. I think the reason why I loved Stephen R. Covey so much is he based so much of his advice on the gospel. The Elders on my mission said he made money off of marketing gospel principles. Perhaps, whatever I looove his books!!!
