My Random Blogging Therapy
Curtis posted a link to he and his sister's blog on his page. It is hay season meaning they gather and I suppose harvest??? it. They use a machine or baler that assembles it along with rakes I think his sister mentions and I am assuming they use. Wow, he may be a designer but he still works at his family farm too. I am pretty sure he didn't go tanning. He has a perfect tan from working in the sun.
I did a Google search to try to figure out what they use the hay for. Some animals eat it and I suppose that's what it's used the most for. I think my dean Bryan was raised on a farm. I'm going to ask him more. Curtis is buying a house in Wellsville right near a duck pond so his family bought him 4 baby ducks. He also bought his sister a guinea pig for her birthday that just happened a few weeks ago. Something was wrong with their baler so Curtis and his dad had to move a single bale of hay with 2 tractors. What the hell does that even mean? I guess they need to gather and store it so it can be used by the animals and not wasted. AGAIN, I don't know. Do they move it to a barn and store the hay there. I know they have horses too. Do they have to groom the horses? How often? They need to feed them too. Do they hire outside workers or do Curtis and his family do everything to maintain their farm?
The more I learn the more I think he's never going to leave.
I should ask Curtis what type of farmer his father is - do they sell milk or cattle for meat? Do they grow anything besides hay? Do they sell the hay? I think farmers specialize now and there has to be something his farm does mainly. Since his family just gave him ducks does he have to feed them? What and how often. Do they feed their cows? What? Do they eat the hay they assembled?
So there are lots of farm animals and farm work. I feel like such an idiot because I don't know anything about farming AT ALL.
