Since it's an open party I decided to invite Andrew, Curtis, Rudy, Mark and any other Midsingles I am friends with who weren't invited. It is in Nibley and is a good missionary opportunity. I am going to work that. There has to be a reason why I'm still here and I am grateful to be a ward missionary. I am good at organizing people and events. I think I can plan some sort of activity to help increase our missionary work in the area. The North ward has all the USU community. We have the farming areas. We have to do something. Having less than 100 people in our ward is NOOOT cool.

Eli our business officer grew up on a farm in Corinne a town in Box Elder County. He told me hay is harvested 4 times during the summer. He told me they had all sorts of animals - dairy cows and meat cows, horses, turkeys, donkeys, ducks, chickens and pigs. He and his brothers would all work on the farm but now his dad hires people to help him periodically. He said he is a meat and milk snob. He remembers his brother crying when they ate "Oreo" - he said he can butcher and eat meat himself and that the first time he had store-bought meat was on his mission. Who knew Eli would be such a rich source of information for me. Eli has a house in Logan now with his wife. They don't have any children yet but he plans to have a family eventually.
