I think I need to force myself to bed at 11pm now. I was exhausted when my alarm went off at 6am so I stayed in bed and periodically looked at my phone for the time. I finally forced myself to move at 20 to 8. I left the house at 8 minutes after 8 and went to Maverick for my 44 oz Diet Dr. Pepper along with donuts. The breakfast of champions. I know I need to stop drinking this stuff AND get more sleep so I can work on my physical goals which haven't gone anywhere. I had to get something to eat because Chris sometimes relieves me as late at 3:30 for my lunch break.

I know I could increase my energy if I started eating better again. It's just been whatever I can grab quickly. I need to return to when I used to eat 6 small meals a day that were high in protein. These happened at 7, 10, 1, 4, 7, 10-I also forced myself to eat 2 servings of fruit and 3 servings of vegetables a day. I don't believe in depriving myself of anything. Instead I planned 1 cheat day a week. That really does work best for me. When I drove from Salt Lake every day the first 2 months before moving to Logan I HAD to be extremely careful about what I ate. Sugar made me lethargic when I'd drive. I used to wake up super early then just to work out-energy was everything. I needed to keep awake when I drove over an hour and a half both ways. I STILL haven't started weight training. I don't know what I'm waiting for. I have my adjustable dumbells in my storage closet with my exercise ball which is great for core strengthening. I've only done cardio here in Logan which has been Zumba or running around and dancing before I got my Zumba DVDs. I like Zumba because it uses interval aerobics that raise your heart rate which is optimal. People who just jog without raising their heart rate are wasting their time. Body For Life taught me this principle AND helped me lift weights for the first time. I remember when I first went to the gym with my Body For Life book. If you don't push yourself EVERY time you work out you are not making your body better, you are maintaining. If you do the same thing without exerting yourself you are doing nothing too.

All this knowledge WITHOUT doing anything does nothing. My goal is supposed to be me getting my Zumba certification by December and teaching Zumba classes with the new year. Half of October is already gone. Baby steps. O.K. I'm going to go to sleep tonight at 11pm. I'm working out AND weight training tomorrow morning. Weight training AND Zumba together should only take an hour. If you work as hard as you should cardio should only take 20 minutes. Raising your heart level 4 times and working at your own maximum level before bringing it down but continuing to move is optimal.

O.K. I just psyched myself out to work on my physical fitness. I have a nearly new business waredrobe in SLC I don't fit now. It'll be great to wear that stuff again!!!
