Urban Poly Princess

Jen lent me a brand new crock pot. It is a pretty red. This is sweet. EVERYTHING is prepared for tomorrow. I'm going to cut stuff at work. I just need to blanche the broccoli. Jen's crock pot is so cute. I'll stick the caramel in there since it's a round pot. I bought an oval pot that holds more. I'll stick the cheese in there. I'm a little wary of cutting the apples because I don't want them turning brown. Lemon juice usually prevents that but I don't know for how long really and I've never served apples before. Caramel and apples are just appropriate for Fall. I remember dunking for apples when I was a child at a Halloween party. We also had a donut eating contest with the donuts tied to string. People had to eat the donuts without using their hands. The thought of dunking for apples when a bunch of other people have done the same thing is gross to me now.

I found a couple caramel recipes that just use caramel and half and half. I think that'll make more than if I buy prepared caramel sauce.

I'm just buying a bag of mini carrots, I have the broccoli, bread and pretzels for the cheese

Chocolate will have the pretzels again AND I'm buying strawberries and pound cake too-also whatever David, Mindie and whoever bring.

Caramel is just going to get apples although strawberries, pretzels and pound cake are good in caramel too. Chopped peanuts for both the chocolate and caramel would also be great to sprinkle on after dipped in chocolate or caramel. I think I'll just price that at Walmart.

Pretzels are good in all of the dips.

Gena is coming to our group specifically because she heard we're watching the debate. She wanted to know what group was doing that so I invited her to come to our group tomorrow. Jonni and Slater are moving some of their stuff tomorrow so they won't be able to make it.

I don't think Marci's coming although it's not for a lack of me trying to convince her.

I also need to remember to buy a bag of ice and a lemon. The dollar store has some trays I can purchase.

We just need a REALLY good lesson. I decided NOT to harp on this. If it lacks the spirit I'm going to share something or make a comment whatever the lesson is on. I can ALWAYS do this so I'm not mentioning it again.

Gena went out of her way to find out about our fhe because she heard we're watching the debate and she wants to join that. I invited her BECAUSE she specifically asked. I don't want to take people from other groups but I don't think we should deny anyone either.

My personal goal for tomorrow is to at least have more than 10 people show up.

I was going to start calling people now but the church website is down for maintenance.
