My Random Blogging Therapy
Bro. Salmond is in charge of the mid singles conference. It's why he keeps promoting it. Tomorrow is a temple session beginning with a speaker and snacks before. After watching the presidential debate or rather listening to it in its entirety at work, I realized the last and final debate is the same night AND time as our FHE fondue party. I definitely want people showing up and although Mindie doesn't have a television in her front room she has a laptop and wireless internet. I'll take my laptop with me too in case we need it. This is the last presidential debate and people will likely miss FHE if we don't offer it as well. I'm just going to heat cheese dip from Sam's club. It's really inexpensive and it tastes fine. Sis Johnson served us chips and the cheese after the temple once. So the cheese dip will probably be the easiest. The chocolate dip will take a little more as will the caramel. I need to find people with crock pots. I also want to get an apple corer. I'm NOT cutting apples for the caramel with a knife. That will take forever.
Tomorrow will be a busy day ending with the temple. I'm going to invite Beckie Fridal who is over all the fhe groups to come Monday. I'm also emailing everyone in our group along with the extra people I've invited. Sunday I'll get RSVPs along with Monday morning. I need to make sure I have everything I need Saturday which is still a conference day BUT I need this to go smoothly. Since I'm planning on starting at 6:30 now so people can watch the debate at 7 I'm going to set up around 5pm at Mindie's house.
I hope Romney wins. I don't think Obama is a bad person. Anyone who wants to serve the country is a good person. I just think Romney has incredible experience and qualifies like no one else ever has to run the country. I think he'll be amazing. His life has been one success after another in ALL aspects of his life. He's achieved personal AND professional success. He has been exposed to sooo much. As a missionary for the church, bishop AND stake president. I want him to have the chance to show what he can do in that position. He has the best resume.
I am Republican to the core BUT living in Cache Valley has made me wish the narrow-minded, naive, racist, ignorant people I've met here belonged to a different party. I remember when I first started working for Stevens-Henager College and the computer science dean told me he would NEVER vote for Obama because he refused to recite the pledge of allegiance or salute the flag. Something like that. I just remember thinking that was one of the stupidest things I had ever heard. My friend was cutting down Obama saying, "Now what's his name, Osama???" My coworkers were and are frequently inappropriate against Obama. They just laugh and think it's funny. It's really not. I am voting for Romney because I think he is who our country needs now. I'm not going to demonize anyone.
