My Random Blogging Therapy
David was fine AND so was Mindie-MUUUCH better than my last fhe there. It was just Mindie, David and I there. I don't know why I had all this mental anguish over NOTHING. They don't seem very positive about attendance. I asked them how they felt about calling people every week. David said he didn't want to do that. I think it really made a difference in our group. People know that you care about them individually. Matt and I were in complete agreement about that. We each called half and traded the halves each week so we could interact with the whole group at least twice a month.
David suggested the Nutcracker for our fhe in December. He has been to a lot of stuff at Eccles theatre. He seems to take a lot of his dates there. I NEVER thought to check out Eccles stuff. When it was Colton's birthday I took him to see a musical in Salt Lake City. He suggested Eccles and I was all NOOO. David's suggestion was refreshing. He may not be my favorite person right now but I REALLY like that he enjoys that stuff.
My first David friend and I went to see the Nutcracker in SLC. I was completely in love with him. We had dinner at this Italian restaurant at Trolley Square Mall first. I thought I would end up with him for sure. Now I think bullet dodged!!! He is still spiritually awesome, tall, gorgeous, respectful ... just politically stupid!!! AND AN ethnocentric idiot. I can't believe the way he thinks. He is also waaay too traditional. He married this ugly Maori girl, got his PhD from the University of Washington in Anthropology and is teaching at BYU-Hawaii where we met and where he met his wife. I used to teach seminary with her in Hawaii so she does have some redeeming qualities. He always loved to talk about how compatible we were intellectually BUUUT L to the NOOO!!! I don't care how many degrees you have some people just have this duh mental block. I respect degrees or I wouldn't get them BUT they NEVER have equalled intelligence.
