4 And my soul hungered; and I kneeled down before my Maker, and I cried unto him in mighty prayer and supplication for mine own soul; and all the day long did I cry unto him; yea, and when the night came I did still raise my voice high that it reached the heavens.
23 And there was nothing save it was exceeding harshness, preaching and prophesying of wars, and contentions, and destructions, and continually reminding them of death, and the duration of eternity, and the judgments and the power of God, and all these things—stirring them up continually to keep them in the fear of the Lord. I say there was nothing short of these things, and exceedingly great plainness of speech, would keep them from going down speedily to destruction. And after this manner do I write concerning them.
There are so many details in verse 23.
27 And I soon go to the place of my rest, which is with my Redeemer; for I know that in him I shall rest. And I rejoice in the day when my mortal shall put on immortality, and shall stand before him; then shall I see his face with pleasure, and he will say unto me: Come unto me, ye blessed, there is a place prepared for you in the mansions of my Father. Amen.
I'm so grateful to be working at the temple. I FINALLY feel like I conquered my initiatories!!! We were there 2x and we had a new endowment sister. That was so cool. I started to complain on here but thoughts of my blessings and how fortunate I am can't help but overshadow anything negative I can even conceive of now. Life is amazing and I am so blessed. Inconveniences are such minor things in the whole scheme of things. I love this gospel so much. I feel good about starting Yoli next month. It will enable me to get off my meds. I baked this fish and it is so yummy. I love seafood. I still need to my shrimp and lobster tail. I'll do that tomorrow. I need to buy sesame oil so I can make pan-fried noodles. This pasta is such a glorious find. IF ONLY they had something similar to rice ALTHOUGH if I just bring down my blood sugar I can eat it sometimes.
Small and Simple Things - Arnulfo Valenzuela
Our prophet, President Thomas S. Monson, has invited us all to go forth and rescue our brothers and sisters. He said: “The world is in need of your help. There are feet to steady, hands to grasp, minds to encourage, hearts to inspire, and souls to save. The blessings of eternity await you”
Let us reach out to others with faith and with love. Let us remember the promise of the Lord:
“And if it so be that you should labor all your days in crying repentance unto this people, and bring, save it be one soul unto me, how great shall be your joy with him in the kingdom of my Father!
“And now, if your joy will be great with one soul that you have brought unto me into the kingdom of my Father, how great will be your joy if you should bring many souls unto me!” (
D&C 18:15–16).
