My Random Blogging Therapy
It rained and I don't want to walk in water OR get wet. I spent some time looking at apartments online. The ones I like are over $1000 a month. If I can just remodel my mother's house it would be a better investment of my money. Her home will end up with me anyway. I want modern finishes and I want to take down the wall and lose the 3rd bedroom. If she lets me do some remodeling it'll be an investment at least. I think she needs $900 to fix her roof. She has a nice gas stove. I wanted stainless steel appliances but it seems stupid to change the stove since it is a good black gas stove. I want to completely remodel the whole thing. She doesn't have covered parking either. If I can get a garage that'll be good. While I really don't want to live with my mother again it may be the best solution. I want a nice kitchen and bathrooms with upscale finishes. If I can slowly convince my mother to do that it would be sweet. I know it's cheaper in other areas but I really like the convenience of downtown. The newer nicer places are all over a thousand and that's without utilities. The other options are older and why do that if I can just live with my mother in a older home for free. Maybe by that time I'll have enough money saved to buy a condo and reduce its price significantly. If I buy a place it won't be a waste especially if I can knock down the mortgage. I can even rent it out and live with my mother. That can be the start of the rental property thing I'd like to do.
I'd rather get married. I'm not living with my mother if I do but I'm not marrying someone who isn't making enough money to pay for a nice condominium downtown. Right downtown isn't going to make me attend church with people I don't want my children growing up around. A house is better with children. I like South Jordan, Draper, Cottonwood, the Avenues or Federal Heights. I still want a nice condo in the heart of downtown. I can always rent it out as an income property if I need to live somewhere else for a time. I hope I live somewhere else. I am up to living anywhere but I already know I'm going to end up in Salt Lake City so I want a condo there.
