We can be grateful in the midst of our challenges
Bottle of bitterness or goblet of gratitude
God commands us to be grateful
Choosing to develop a spirit of gratitude will bring us true joy and happiness
Overall spirit or attitude of gratitude
Disposition, way of life independent of whatever our circumstance might be
The choice is ours
Nephi's grateful heart never faltered. I did look unto my God and I did praise him despite my afflictions
Mormon pioneers maintained a grateful heart
Let us cheerfully do all things that lie in our power!!!
We can choose to be grateful no matter what
Gentle peace in the midst of tribulation
How much of life do we miss waiting for the rainbow but neglect to be thankful for the rain
Act of faith in God, hope for things we may not see but are true
We follow the example of our Savior not mine but thine will be done
Trusting that we will enjoy blessings
The amazing plan of happiness, the atonement, perfect bodies not subject to sickness
fearful doubting men changed into fearless disciples of the master
Accepted affliction because they knew the joy that would come to pass
Your testimony of Christ born of the Holy Ghost allows you to look past the bitter endings to the glorious moment we will
we are made of the stuff of eternity, eternal blessings without number endings are not our destiny, merely interruptions that seem small when compared to the eternal joy awaiting the faithful, only everlasting beginnings
Let your hearts always be full of thanks
broadens our perception, fosters empathy towards our fellowmen, catalyst to all Christlike attributes, shall be made glorious
May we be filled with thanksgiving daily especially during our challenges
Show by word and deed our thankfulness to our God and to our Savior Jesus Christ
M. Russell Ballard
Hastening the work
No matter what your message is or how powerful or true, it is irrelevant without persistent and consistent followup. Make it clear where you belong and who you follow. Specifically pray. Believe in the principle of follow up. Without the completed action the commitment is hollow. - Ballard (the one and only true returned missionary

Access power to deliver as recorded in the scriptural accounts
Clear direction from the spirit so we can be used as an instrument in the hands of the Lord
God is watching us, we are not alone, he is aware of us and he always has a plan for us
Put trust in the Lord
Through trial surrounded by God's love
The gospel not a checklist of things to do, it is not weight it is wings
You are not alone, we can choose to reach for God in our hour of need. Fear not, I am with thee I will not lead thee astray
David, Nephi in the scriptures, Joseph Smith, real and difficult challenges but they still all received help.
Live each day by putting their trust in God
Bishop Gary E. Stevenson
checkpoints
baptism
ordinances, ordination in the priesthood
what do I need to do next to prepare and receive, do it now, don't wait, eternity
daily prayer, scripture study, church attendance
Lay aside sin
repent
the miracle of the atonement offers hope, don't delay
He will not leave you comfortless
piece of paper, name and plan for each ordinance
sacrament ordinance each week, an action plan for each family member to strive to be worthy to receive essential ordinances
In the midst of an exhilarating journey, we've prepared for this for a millennia, how can we fail with the Savior at our side?
David A. Bednar
Load of wood provided traction, allowed him to return to his family from the snow
options, constraints,
Is the load providing the spiritual traction needed to ultimately return home to heavenly father
Happiness is not the absence of a load
Do not haul around nice but unnecessary things that distract us
meek and lowly of heart, my yoke is easy and my burden is light
yoke places animals side-by-side, as with the Savior
Making and keeping sacred covenants yokes us to the Savior
His yoke is easy and his burden is light
covenants received and honored with integrity
In the ordinances of the priesthood the power of Godliness is manifest
Burdens made light the Lord did strengthen then, increased their capacity through the atonement they could impact their circumstances
The atonement enables us to do good and become better in ways that stretch beyond our mortal capacity. For faithful men and women striving for , do we not acknowledge the atonement's strengthening power in our life, to enliven us to not only guide but to strengthen and heal us
The Savior has suffered for our fears, despair, discouragement, inequities, physical pain, anguish, infirmity, weakness
Christ has experienced all of this the Son of Man has as part of the atonement thus giving him the ability to succor and heal us, his yoke is easy and his burden is light
Much of the atonement we cannot understand BUT there is much we can comprehend
Our unique burdens allow us to learn to rely on the Holy Messaiah
Increasingly learn to understand, work on and then we can change our own circumstances, agents to act and not be acted upon
Today is the Savior's birth and the day the church was organized, Sacred and special Sabbath day.
President Monson
We are all spirit children and as such brothers and sisters
Love is the very essence of the gospel and Jesus Christ our Exemplar
Kindness, patience, understanding shown in our day-to-day interactions, recognizing and then responding to a need
Charity is the pure love of Christ
Some of our greatest opportunities to practice and express love happen best in our own homes
The ones we love should not be the target of our harsh words
Love one another especially our family
Reprove then show an increase of love, always be sensitive to the needs of others, do not destroy someone else's confidence or feelings
blame keeps wounds open, only forgiveness heals
It might've been, repentance allows us to let go of these regrets
show interest, kindness, patience, let words and actions communicate love
May we begin now to express love to all God's children, respond with love and kindness to whatever comes our way.
Time to make those brownies!!!
