Temple recorder???!!!

The sister that usually does temple recording just became the new veil coordinator. She is single too. I'm not sure what her story is. Sister Herron? was the lady who had me over to her house for her superbowl party. It's a VERY good thing I had planned to take Dave investigator over there and asked her if I could take him there. Sister Parkin just had surgery for something. Sister Herron visited her with her son and tried to set them up. I asked her if her son was temple worthy. I know he's not. Sister Parkin told me he's working on it. Sister Herron told me she just got a new house in Smithfield and she is very excited about that. She told me I need to go over. She also told Sister Parkin the same thing. Sooo why the hell would someone who works in the temple want to date her son if he isn't even worthy to enter? He was nice as were all the sons I met. I let her know I couldn't wait to leave Logan when I got the chance. She told everyone that. I only shared that with her so she'd get any thoughts of trying to hook me up with her son out of her head. I do like him because he's from California BUUUT yeah that's the ONLY thing.

She was killing me. The sisters asked me in the room we all wait in before working the veil where I was from. I told them I was from Hawaii. One sister asked me how I had come to live in Cache Valley and I told her I paddled a canoe. I was having fun telling her I collected rainwater for drinking as well as took along a water purifier with me. I told her I packed food in the canoe but that I ran out so I had to fish for the remainder of the trip. Some other lady said it was a guy that brought me there. Yeah right... DEFINITELY NOOOT!!!

I might be in the recorder's office from now on. I entered with another lady all the names of all the endowments that were completed. The other lady and I traded off stamping and scanning them and then running them near clothing or rather the family names there for patrons who had brought them there. Between that and doing veils and the first hour of initiatories I was running up and down the stairs and through the dressing room the whole time. That'll be fine if she puts me there. At least I'll be kept busy and I can still do initiatories and help patrons at the veils.

I talked to the sisters about the devotional coming up. They told me it is usually a visiting General Authority. Growing up in Hawaii near BYU-Hawaii is another thing that spoiled me. Every Apostle and even the prophet wants to visit Hawaii. I'd always get to hear from them even before I went to BYU-Hawaii and got to hear one once a month in a devotional. The perks of attending a church school, growing up in a LDS community not just in Hawaii but also in Tonga and then Utah is the whole dang state.

The biggest problem with MLM companies that has been tossed around in my head is that the focus is on recruiting new distributors rather than on marketing the product. People who haven't finished their education are usually attracted to MLM's. Faiana and Kinau have been successful, Kinau at an even larger scale. Howard Hanneman also from Laie is in some sort of MLM company too. He is very successful as well. Daisey and my friend Peleise are also very into Yoli and were very into other MLMs too. They never saw the success Kinau or even Faiana had. MLMs are the 2nd largest industry in Utah with NuSkin being at the top of the bunch. Anjeanette, Mele's best friend has worked for NuSkin forever but she's not a distributor. Since she served her mission in France she's gone there a lot to do stuff with their French division. Afa who was a lot older than me is a scientist at Tahitian Noni and he actually has his PhD. in some sort of science that looks into the properties of their wonder plant.

Younique was also founded in Utah, Pleasant Grove to be exact. I've just seen people invest so much of their time and money into different MLM's and not see a dime. I would rather focus my effort on something like Real Estate which I can't wait to rock. I will be a Younique distributor because I love the product and of course I want to make money too BUUUT I'm not expecting much or willing to exert much effort.

Utah has a bad record with all of these schemes and scams. Real Estate too has had a lot of shady stuff go down in Utah.

I just don't see myself in the whole MLM thing. Kinau makes it sound and look like so much fun and I really think he is sincere but I will never do this. The church had some statement about this too. They always had huge Amway conferences at the gym at BYU-Hawaii. A little surfing on the web reveals stuff. The numbers don't lie. People do make money, a lot of money, but more people don't make a cent.
